At the time when (nearly) all cane arrived by rail, Pagottan's weighbridge was down a slope at the point where the main narrow gauge line from the fields passed under the Ponorogo PNKA branch and the main road. This was less than ideal and road deliveries has to be backed down to it and afterwards hauled (or pushed) back which became less and less bearable as the amount of road cane increased.
This video shows two of the three Orenstein and Koppel Luttermoller at work in the closing years of this system. Watch out for the wheel slip after 05:20 which indicates that the end wheel gearing is still connected.
Afterwards a new road yard was built with a balloon loop which greatly simplified operation.
