Thanks for watching Robin. I fancy a break from editing KZfaq videos for a while now which will help folk catch up. Last day tomorrow. 25 miles across the Cheviots and then off home to sleep for several days 😆

Nice one Anthony, I see you're uploading these each day as you go. I didn't realise you could edit videos on your phone so that's pretty awesome. Glad you're off to a good start with the Pennine Way and are enjoying the previously undiscovered route beyond Black Hill. I did laugh at your comment about why you decided not to hitchhike into Diggle! 😂 Some beautiful landscapes on your route. I've got some of those places on my list to visit at some point, e.g. Blackstone Edge, Stoodley Pike. Good luck with the next few days, will catch up with you then to see how it's still going for you 👍

Eee, Delph, not far from me at all. Yes, it's a bit of a slog down into Delph from Stanedge and a lift back up is deffo a wise move. Enjoy my beloved local moors today and Hebden Bridge.....a crackin' little town. Best wishes, Chris
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris. I did enjoy those moors. The little breakfast van just before the M62 was a welcome sight too

'God of views.' I like that Anthony. Yeah they shined down on you with one of your faves. And a fine view it was to. Great to be on a brand new stretch and adventure. It is exciting. And hey it sounds as though them elctrolytes are to - sure they weren't the caffeine version? Well, good going. Mark

Great work. Not met any of these purists who said you have to backpack you mention in your previous vid. Personally I wouldn't have much time for them even though I love wild camping. It's hard enough (and rewarding) anyway especially if you want to do it in one go! Of course it's difficult/impossible to enjoy every moment but probably most of the time. I think you made a wise decision.

Not dissimilar to do the Camino or 'hut to hut' camping/hiking...Although here in the states we do have a problem w/the alleged 'purists'. Hike your own hike !

Great to see you out on Day 2 Anthony and your foot is holding up ok 🙌 That is absolutely bang on the owners offering a lift to the pub for food etc... top job! I may have to drop you a message for some minor details on that place one day lol. "Castles" = "Looks absolutely nothing like one" 😂😂😂👏👏👏 Brilliant!! Always good when you get to new parts of your adventure and see things you have never seen before. You are doing so well so far, some really decent ground covered too over different terrains without any days break in-between MUCH harder than people realise. Top job good man 💪💪 Hahaha mad little beach you found 😀 Glad you're doing good mate keep resting, stay strong and keep enjoying those views. See you on the next one.... ATB... Chris

This is a lovely section of the PW. Not made it to Black Hill yet but boy, is that route on my list. Such stunning views. Whichever camera you are using on this trip is taking great quality footage, I watched this on a large screen earlier on, great stuff! Hope that day 3, the start of the unknown way has gone well for you. Also glad that the foot is holding up 👍. Well done Anthony, keep pressing on 👍

Good morning Anthony, good luck with the next few sections and navigation, exciting to be heading onto uncharted territory! 🗺🧭 Really enjoyed this installment and pleased you foot/feet are behaving! Nice mix of veiws and greenspaces ❤👍🤗 The reservoirs dis look a little low, that'll soon change in the next few months 💧 Always listen to your feet AJ, keep those engery levels up and beware of black market Amazon sellers 🤭💊 Good mileage covered and congratulations on bagging day2! Keep it up Anthony, catch you soon! We are out tommroow so the comments wont be so quick, but know we are egging you on! Catch you soon, Ceri and Kat ❤👍☕😄

Well done Anthony. You can do it. Good idea to not push too hard and take plenty of foot airing breaks. It’s very tempting to over do it first few days. The body must get into a rhythm after a few days. Really enjoying the daily updates feel like I’m part of the adventure remotely 👍😄

You've covered good ground on day two, keep it up! I'm not sure how far away you are from Hadrian's Wall... but be mindful that the Acorn Signposts don't always specify which trail your on and they do cross over. When I did Hadrian's Wall, a few in my group took the Pennine Way trail by mistake. I'm sure you'll be fine. Happy hiking! xx
@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rachel. It’s definitely a trail for a map. The signposting has been few and far between so far. Really hoping I make the Hadrian’s wall section. Looked fab on your videos

@AnthonyJohnson12 жыл бұрын
Glad you’re enjoying the Pennine Way series. It was an amazing experience. I didn’t use the Hoka’s in the end as they were a bit too narrow for my feet. I wore ASICS Trabuco Max trail shoes and they worked really well for me.

I’ll pop the maps on when I’m home as it’s a bit too fiddly to do on the iPhone. There’s a few good websites if you search google. I found some really helpful stuff on there about the route etc. Thanks again for the support.
