Did you know you can swim with the endangered whale-sharks off the coast of Tanzania?!
In this video we depart Dolly airstrip in the Northern region of Tanzania and make our way towards the country’s beautiful tropical coastline. A quick flight over the capital city brings back fond memories of my childhood in Dar es Salaam. From there it’s only a short hop over to Mafia Island, which is known famously for its beautiful marine life. Here we spent a few days with KituKiblu, who took us on two excursions to swim with the friendly giants. As a thank you, we take the crew up for a surprise spin and share our love for flight!

If you’re going to do more of that kind of adventuring you should take a beginner freediving course. I’m always amazed how many pilots are divers. One of the things I think is missing from aviation VLOGs is a VLOG where people fly somewhere AND DO STUFF where they arrive. Part of the fun of flying is not just the flying itself but the places you can go. I’m glad you seem to place equal emphasis on adventuring at your destination as in flight.

Great video! Great adventure! Flying has such a liberating feeling and you get to go places and experience them in a whole different way! Like those guys you took up- they looked as if they had been in another place, and it's just their island from another perspective!! Really good of you to give them such an experience! I got the flying bug that way. I lived near an airport (wilson airport, Nairobi) and got intrigued by planes flying overhead.then I got a joyride, then another, and another....and I got hooked. Years later (5 years ago), I managed to pay for about 3 hours introductory lessons and it was just a confirmation- I was meant to fly! Though finances challenged, one day, I'll continue and complete my lessons. But your video, has brought back memories that I cherish greatly. Continue inspiring, we follow your travels!

The whale sharks brings back happy memories from the Maldives. Ten years ago, I was offered job as instructor for a domestic airline, and they placed me at the spot where whale sharks can be spotted all year round. Those gentle giants are just magic! (A nigerian scammer has posted fake replies to my previous comments. I hope they will not return.)

Thanks for the bingeworthy content, I battled to stop watching. Started episode 1 yesterday and completed episode 11 not too long ago. I have flown the Sling 2 TC06 and x333 and enjoyed it, the high wing looks really great. Just curious regarding Foreflight you're currently using... since they're a sponsor, are you using the performance plus plan? At my place of work we are also using Foreflight and definitely a game changer.
