In this episode, M. R. Hari introduces Mr Thampi Thomas, an advocate-turned-agriculturist, who adopts very scientific methods in his farming, and executes them with the methodical dedication of a management expert, while using the traditional wisdom of our indigenous farming style. He gave up a potentially brilliant career in law and turned to agriculture so that he could make pesticide- and fungicide-free food. He uses goat pellets and chicken poop as fertilizers, does heavy mulching, is able to harvest paddy to sustain his family and sell the rest, and sells tons of fruits like mangosteen, dragon fruit, etc.
