There is nothing more powerful a human being can do than jump. Elevating one's body off of the ground is both impressive and beautiful when done right. I see jumping more as an art than a science project and through thousands of athletes worth of trial and error, I have determined the most optimal way to jump your highest off of 2-feet.
In this video I breakdown Isaiah's amazing 47" vertical jump test by examining some key areas:
1. INTENT - this is the environment he creates from a mental standpoint. This is the most undervalued element of athletics.
2. Center of Mass Relationship - managing the athlete's COM in relationship to the take-off.
3. Arm Swing and Shoulder Mobility - why it's important to understand why your arm swing may be underperforming.
