I was the 4th Generation of my Mom's family to work at the Centennial Centre. My Mom was a Psych Nurse in the Geriatrics wings.

Also did they change the name from Hamilton's IGA to Hammy's? Jim must have wanted a change cause Hammy's was the liquor store for forever. Since at least the new building was built back when I was in High School.

Great video! We moved to Ponoka recently and love it. I recommend for restaurants you and family check out Peppered Elk. They've got awesome food.

I am in Calgary & want to do the psychiatric nurse program, and I’m trying to choose between Ponoka and Edmonton. Are there lots of good options for part time jobs for students? How about places to rent, like student housing or apartments? Loved this video, definitely makes me start to lean towards Ponoka over Edmonton!

Ponoka does have centennial center which is a huge psychiatric hospital

Great video but you forgot about the beautiful 18 hole golf course next to the Centennial Centre. Some pictures of schools, ball diamonds, tennis courts and newer residential areas would have been nice.

It is a beautiful course . I get a membership every year . Ps- no one wants to see tennis courts 😂

Is it a flood risk here? Water security isn't an issue? Flouride in tap water?

There is fluoride in all tap water no matter where you go. No flood risk

The town water from the tap is good. No issues. There is some flooding in the spring with ice dams along the river but it does not affect businesses or residential areas
