This is absolutely correct. For those of us who practice chi qong and especially for those of us who are energetically sensitive, this is important. We need to keep the balance in order to assist others. Thank you once again for your kindness.

The Good Wolf story was told to me by an old witch doctor in the Appalachia mountains that my Daddy took me to in 1977. He told it using black dog white dog... It's Hero and His Shadow. Best to you. I love your videos I practice with you 7 minutes at least once and sometimes 3 times a day. Namaste. (From South Carolina, USA

I live in a city and I've discovered that growing cress/sprouting beans/peas is a lovely way to connect with nature - even if it is tiny - it's magic! Creative things are supporting me too. Writing. Making. Cooking. You have created a beautiful community here. You are always inspiring. Thank you Jeff.

I hadn’t heard the “good wolf v bad wolf” analogy before. One thing I’ve learned is that even by trying to push a thought or feeling away, it gives it energy and makes it stronger.

That was very helpful. I call this concept Shine & Shadow. The positive things I do shine my inner self. I feel bright and radiant. The dark, unhealthy things that sneak in are dark, shadow. I like the good/ bad wolf, I hadn’t heard that.

If we think of the healing properties of cinnamon, it’s not such a bad word for the good wolf state :) Srsly, God bless, Jeff, and thank you for this video. But ‘Good Wolf’ is a good name too. It is a reminder that there is a wildness, a strength inside us, that should be embraced so it doesn’t get twisted up. It’s easy to be afraid of that inner strength.

I like The Good Wolf because it can mean something just a little different to each of us personally. If it's focus plus inspiration, or a sense of purpose, or a particular desire, whatever it is that makes us each connect to our drive (for health in particular, these days) and keeps it going.

This practice has sustained me, and helped me immeasurably! I’m almost done with the 30 days of qigong, and it’s a part of my life. When I think of the good wolf, I think of a wolf with equanimity; balance, responsive, tempered in reactions. A calm readiness and evenness of response,.

I have heard the good wolf and the bad wolf. And I like it, and I also like to think of it as feeding the good flame..keeping it safe, feeding it just the right amount of oxygen; seeing it as warm, giving light, meditative, etc. vs the bad flame.. a wildfire..destructive, out of control, painful, devouring the earth and life. So it is important to tend to our flame, and not let it get out of control..

SaniQi I actually like the story of the 2 wolves. It has always been a grounding story for me that I read many years ago. The wisdom of it is simple to understand, too. Also, the wolf is a kind of "spirit animal" for me. Though I love wolves, I surely don't want one for a pet. I have too much respect for their wild Life.

Hi Jeff, Ive only recently been exposed to QiGong, and happened to see several videos of yours including this one. Thanks you for putting up so much out there in the public domain. One alternate for the 'Good Wolf' could be something very simple like '"The Monk" ... if you like it. Cheers!
