Quick question brian, have you ever decided, to becoming web designer, producer, in making ur own viedo, such as these. And see that u have a coffee maker the kind u like, ? U could drink coffee all day and night. But having caffine, is not always good all day and night. Lol . Did u ever have a different name?

@@dougrobinson33 I don't know whether this would help, but my dad used to wrap bread that got dried out into a moistened tea towel and warm it in the over for a few minutes. Came out like freshly baked bread. Yum. 🌹

New Subscriber here, Just binged watched all your vids. You both are very inspiring as i am newly vegan and trying to lose weight. Bryan and I are rather close in size. I love videos like these, Overnight Oats are my favorite. I would love to see more simple ideas for Lunch and Dinner also. If you guys haven't tried it yet, try Hummus Pasta. Cook your favorite pasta and throw on your Smokey Hummus.

Good to hear! I am 6'6" and started out at 514 pounds. I am currently down to about 367(ish) this week. We have a bunch of simple meals planned for videos coming in the future. We are just getting started here. 😊I have not tried putting our hummus on pasta. It sounds delicious though. We don't eat a lot of pasta right now. Maybe when we get down in weight a bit more we will start cooking it again. Thanks for the binge watching, comment, and suggestions. 😊 -Brian

That's awesome! Good luck on your weight loss journey :) when I was plant based I ate a lot of tofu/tempeh stir fry, homemade sushi, Buddha bowls and bean burritos. Gardein has good products if you need help transitioning. Processed, but delicious. I liked using their mock mince to make Bolognese.

@@KrocksInTheKitchen I was going to ask the same #question: I would love to see samples of daily meals like this one for breakfast. And portion sizes. I eat very well vegan-wise, but may still be eating 'too much'. My weight loss has been slow and often I hit a plateau for weeks. 🌹

Brian, your banana butter has been a game changer for me! I can't keep any kind of nut butters in the house because I will overeat them. Huge trigger for me. Except tahini. So, this has been wonderful on toast! Especially the Ezekial Cinnamon Raisin, which I ran out and bought after watching this video! Thanks you two, you both are really inspiring!

When I put a banana on bread like that, I usually cut the banana in half, then split each half lengthwise so it's flat and doesn't roll off. You can make extra slices lengthwise if you want to be fancy. Everything looked really tasty!

I agree. How can anyone dislike breakfast, especially with choices like the ones you show? I love Ezekiel bread!! Also a BIG fan of overnight oats with frozen berries, sometimes banana, nuts, chia seeds. Brian, I like how you add ground flaxseed & cinnamon to this and your banana mash. I've been pressed for time in the morning and have tossed a couple handfuls of organic frozen berries in a ziplock. I like Jessica's addition of diced apple and pineapple. My pantry is totally incomplete if I don't have creamy natural peanut butter or a nut butter. On weekends I break out my Ninja blender. In goes in almond milk, oatmeal, frozen blueberries, ground flaxseed, a big handful of baby greens, and half a frozen ripe banana. (I get ripe banana on sale at the store, peel, break in half, and store in the freezer in a ziplock.) Well done Jessica and Brian!!

Hi Jessica and Brian. I love you guys! Thank you for all of your amazing recipes. I appreciate all of your time and effort in creating and perfecting the recipes and everything that goes into sharing them with all of us. As a (very) small payback, I'd like to share my lazy person hack for adding sliced banana to nut butter bread. I cut the banana in half lengthwise then cut widthwise to the size of your bread. You can use any "leftover" pieces to fill in gaps if banana is very curved. I find this to be much easier/less messier and hassle-free. You're welcome! ;)

Howdy, new subscriber, you just popped up last night. You 2 look great from then till now. Probably the best thing I love about a PBD is there is no need to count calories, just eat till you are satisfied. Have snacks. It's pretty much an open book. I have also noticed over the years that people who eat PB have a tendency to stay on it, and keep the weight off. I have been PB for about 6 years now when diagnosed with Pre-diabetes, discovered the Pre-Diabetes clinic in Austin and haven't looked back. We all need encouragement bc the SAD is always in our faces, it can be a battle at times and we can get ourselves in a rut. You two are an encouragement and hope that many others new to this way of eating will find you are too, and be an encouragement to one another.

I'm not a sweets person, if I eat breakfast it's dinner leftovers (a veggie black eye pea stew with sauteed garlic spinach and cornbread today), but for something more "breakfasty", I do enjoy hummus on toast with sliced tomato and thin sliced onion (soooo delicious), or some saucy beans on toast. On weekends sometimes I make a tofu scramble, adding in half a bag of frozen stir fry veggies and topping it with salsa and black pepper.

These are some great ideas for breakfast. I usually zap my fruit (apple, orange, kiwi, blueberries, strawberries, banana) together into a smoothie though. Another idea is to microwave 1 apple, raisins, cinnamon, muesli and juice of an orange for one minute, then add a tad bit of maple syrup. #QUESTION: If you have some kind of carb in the morning, do you also include starches for lunch and dinner? I.E. if I have bread for breakfast, I would think I'd want to keep it all the same for the whole day. Rice or corn or potato or quinoa or pasta.

Those all look like great breakfasts - my two go tos are steel cut oats in the instant pot with peanut butter powder and a handful of vegan choclate chips(ready in about 25 minutes) and a veganized fave of mine from my carnist days that I still call "tomato melts" - it's toast with vegan mayo, sliced tomato, a sprinkle of basil and oregano topped off with nutritional yeast. I eat tomato melts for lunch some days as well - yum!

When I first went vegan my 2 teenagers and my husband thought I was crazy. My younger son was very vocal about it. Almost two years later and my husband is dead(complications from septicaemia nothing to do with diet and I didn't kill him for being anti-vegan), my older son eats vegan at home and my younger boy is vegan now. Since I'm the one that does all the cooking when I first went vegan I cooked meat for the family 3 times a week at first but warned everyone that once I lost the weight I wanted to lose and got off my blood pressure meds I would no longer be cooking meat for them. I went vegan Nov 2017 and had reached all my goals by Aug 2018 and haven't cooked meat since. I agree with the other poster; you have to do it for yourself. Once you learn all the reasons to be vegan you won't have any trouble sticking to it.

I make a wicked, easy treat for my 3 year old grand daughter. I take 6 very ripe (not black), bananas, 6 generous tablespoons of peanut butter, and puree with stick blender. Then fill 6 muffin silicone muffin cups using 2/3 of the mixture. Take the remaining 1/3 and add 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa -- stir thoroughly and then distribute on top of mixture in muffin cups. Using a spoon swirl the chocolate into the mixture. Add a popsicle stick and FREEZE. Remove and enjoy. It is never so hard you can't bite it, doesn't drip like ice cream but is creamy, sweet and delicious. She tells me she loves it.

Thank you very much! 😀 I never thought I would be able to lose this weight. But a year later I am down 155 pounds and still losing weight. We started posting videos to show people that it can be done. Hopefully, we can help you out in some small way on your path to becoming healthy. 😀 -Brian

Inspired by Brian's banana butter toast... I mixed up some peanut butter powder, then mashed up a banana and added some cinnamon, used this blend on my toast and oh my gosh it was good! Could have just eaten it out of a bowl like a pudding honestly

Questions - I'm new to your channel so please forgive me if you have already answered these questions. 1. Do you drink coffee? 2. How do you sweeten your drinks? 3. Do you ever eat healthy desserts? Ex.oatmeal, agave, banana, baking powder cookies (other ingredients optional) 4. Jessica have you ever tried natural options to help with anxiety and depression? Ex. St. Johns wort or the liquid drops from Calm a Mama called Happy or Calm or Sleep - These are safe enough for pregnant women so anyone can use them. I use the sleep drops every night. I have a ton more questions but I do a few at a time. Love you guys!

Jessica, did you try slicing the bananas the long way so they stay on the toast better? Just a thought .... love watching you two 😀

Currently not eating bread. But both of those looked great! I eat overnight oats many mornings and I add the banana as well in the evening so there is no prep in the morning.

I used to add bananas before placing them into the refrigerator. Now I add them in every morning because I think it provides a better taste and texture. :-) -Brian
