Sounds like Honda found a way to spool the Turbo during downshifts with the engine firing without burning fuel. Therefore MGU-H can be used to generate power, without the need for it to drive the turbo. I believe this is also why Verstappen experienced turbo lag problems after introduction of Spec 4 last year. They now have a form of clutch between Turbo and MGU-H, so that they can spin the turbo faster than MGU-H on high speeds, without the turbo being limited to the 125.000 RPM the MGU-H regulation has.

I once remembered the accelerator technique that Ayrton Senna used to accelerate as fast as he could at the start of a corner. In the past, Honda engineers referred to this unique accelerator technique as "Senna Feet."

Not only does the car look cool with the Aston Martin wings on the spoiler, it has an awesome Honda sound, good performance and reliability, does not cheat, and shoots flying sparks under braking!

It feels like the RB16 brakes so much later and has engine group to go flat out where others (except mercedes) need to lift. Impressive work from both RBR & Honda!

I knew I had faith in Honda. Too bad the relationship with McLaren didn't work out, but they seem right at home with the Red Bull guys! Love the off throttle and coasting noise. It just sounds raw and excited--like it's run on the heart of a kaiju.

Looking forward to this year! I'm English so obviously hoping for Hamilton to equal that incredible record of Michael Schumacher this year. Team wise, I've got my fingers crossed for Williams to be competitive. Been a Williams fan since I first started watching F1 back I the late 80's. It's been heart breaking watching how much they've struggled over the past seasons. Interesting to see where Ferrari shake out. They look (as much as you can tell from a first test) like they might be up against McLaren and Racing Point, at least at the start of the year. But who knows!!?? It's going to be a good year I think, especially as we get new regs next year and see how willing teams are to push the envelope for this year.
