@@MrMenefrego1 Absolutely Jeff, my “happy place” after a long, complicated day is headphones and iPad watching MTM Mary or Rhoda in my bed late at night. She was a fabulous lady who left a wonderful legacy. She made us laugh. She didn't preach to us about politics. She wasn't on the front of gossip rags with her privates hanging out. In 1971, I graduated from JHS. There was a girl who was a big bully. Especially when she had her two friends with her. We went the the same High school. I was leaving the pizza place. She was coming in. We stood together by the door entrance. She waited for me to let her in. I just looked her, stood my ground. She backed away. Never did she bother me again. That was the only best time for me in HS ; the years in HS SUCKED.

Who's the guy with the loud laugh in the audience? Jerry Lewis? Geez...actually sounds like that laugh Desi Arnez used to use on I Love Lucy.

I'd never thought about the similarity to that Ricky Ricardo laugh before, but you're right!

I wonder if they intended some of these characters to recur or if they made such a splash here it was a natural. Susan came back 5 more times and Myrna 8 times. Linda, never again (Linda Lavin's "Alice" didn't start until two years later).

George Alderman, you are so right. Linda Lavin really kills it here than she does on Alice. On the show she plays as a waitress. I'm not here to judge, man but I think she does what she does beautifully!

Rhoda was very much in love with Joe. It's bad he didn't feel the same towards her. She never went out after her divorce. Maybe she had gotten better ratings.
