YES. I appreciate your balanced perspective (and great production!). I am one of the people (not on Reddit) pushing for a ship boycott, because I do think CIG needs pressure. I think the community needs to become more organized and start to treat our power like that of a publisher. They're delivering less and communicating less as they break funding records, and that's not okay.

I'm not bummed about the Release View going down to 1 quarter. I already knew all of it is tentative until a few weeks before release when they 'commit' to it, and even then the PTU can take a varied number of days before PU implementation (I'm still waiting to buy that HoverQuad LTI token). Among other things (such as a summary of Progress Tracker items 'tentatively projected to complete'), the Q2-Q4 view ahead was also a marketing touchpoint to show backers what should be achievable under ideal conditions without unforeseen blockers in a given quarter, and that was supposed to raise some hype about the year ahead for Star Citizen. Unfortunately, most of the excitement is naturally concentrated in the near-term and towards the forthcoming quarter, and their 'tentative projections' were inevitably going to draw criticism as finishing items get delayed. Since their completion-date-prediction-accuracy drops considerably beyond the next quarter, they're right to shorten it to just the next quarter. That negative criticism erodes CIG's brand value (Goodwill on the balance sheet), and they don't want their brand name to be synonymous with the idea of delayed/disappointing game development.

Maybe i'm too old to be emotionnal about all of this. They have made a crappy com move, for sure. But in the end, this is just a game. Great video !

The only meaningful way to prove to backers CIG can actually push out completed gameplay loops and content is getting Salvage and the Cargo Refactor out on time or sooner, if they fail the noise will just get even louder.

Ive only been a backer (concierge) since 3.12 and have actually never bothered looking at the road map. I utilize you and other content creator's to get my info. Maybe I should buy up some accounts...

Im not mad that they want to scrap the release view, I just wish they would either add more labels to content other than tentative/commited, or just be EXTREMELY picky of what they put on the release view...

At this point, being a concierge backer since 2017, im starting to think we might never see the "vision" of robert`s verse. Everything is a complete mess in my view, you have outdated ships, reworked ships, reworked ships that still need a rework, huge backlog of expensive ships sold years ago, that we dont even know if they has been started work on. features and places ingame that now years away from first aproximated release date to pu. Chris roberts have allmost disappeared from the dev vids, and when he appears now, he barely looks into the camera, enthusiasm seems gone. At least thats my impression. sq42 claims most devs they say, yet we see nothing of the game they claim to be prioritizing developing. Oh well, Ill probably toss in a few dollars this year as well though, At this point i view SC the same as buying lottery tickets.. You might get what you wanted, you might lose it all, but in the end, hopes and dreams are why you spend money on it in the first place. At least if SQ42/SC turns out to be a scam/failed project, i will at least not be angry about it, and thats whats most important to me. When i invest, i view the money invested gone, until proven otherwise. And i never spend money i cant afford to lose. I have been in this game since June last year. All I have seen is development that's faster than anything I've ever played. I'm just looking at everybody complaining about their own little pet feature getting delayed. They are sprinting through an amazingly beautiful and highly detailed game world, not seeing any of it and ranting that there's not enough to do. I really don't get it

I watch all the videos and never play the game. It feels very old now, too time consuming, boring and too easy to die or get jailed. Who thought jail in a computer game was a good idea?? I call it arrogant, to think you can keep punishing players and expect them to come back for more.
