Love that gold to silver fade, wish the wood version had that. But both out of my budget so i settled for the Chou which i love , crazy sharp thing!

Hey man, thanks for the content! I believe both Higos you reviewed are Higo II, and the number on the blade is the yearly serial number. Also, it will drop shut if you replace the grease for oil on the washers.. Rocksteads are awesome! Keep'em sharp forever with diamond strops 💪

The rockstead knives are really cool. I love how well the process the blade steel to maximize performance. The finishing is awesome as well. Hopefully one day I can check one out. Great review 👍

I couldnt bring myself to spend that much $$$ on a knife although I have to say that rockstead does make a beautiful knife!

Made in Japan ! Yes, Anywhere but the CCP and I will look at it. Thank You for the review. Love Convex grinds, big Bark River Fan. Convex are the strongest of the grinds for the edge.

The gold anodising seems to fade to silver from one end to the other. Is this what’s actually happening or is it the lighting?

Actually I believe it actually does fade.

Guessing the 193 means it’s part of a limited run , as in the 193rd made 👍

Don’t know if it’ll make you feel better or not about your opinion on the Rockstead knives, but they’ve never really sparked my interest at all. I’ve played with a couple, but I’d rather just have a good ol PM2.

Wish it had bog oak scales instead of carbon fibre or maybe ebony or in fact any exotic wood.

There is a Higo 2 with polished titanium scales, and Desert Ironwood scales. This version looks nicer, and it’s cheaper than the carbon fiber scales. The wood handle version is really beautiful

@@ericmack001 is there? I thought the ironwood version was steel? If there's a ti version I could get it anodized and get the best of both worlds, don't really understand why people like carbon fiber wood looks much nicer. It's not like your going to be using a rockstead in really damp conditions!

@@eyesintheskies you’re right it is steel. I like carbon fiber because you don’t have to worry about it being damaged. It looks good forever. The Ironwood version is beautiful

Hmm this one I think is very cool. The previous one I did I didn’t like. The quality is awesome snd the blade steel is great as well as the hardness. Not sure it needs tons of hype but it’s a nice knife.
