You're the first KZfaq channel hoping that the Explorer II won't get a ceramic bezel. I thought I was the only one out here wishing the watch will keep the SS bezel. Giving it a ceramic bezel would run the watch and make it look like a GMT meets Submariner wannabe. I also think they will give the anniversary model green accents replacing the orange parts.

Green dials being phased out of the day date, daytona, and submariner....and a 50th anniversary for the explorer coming. The 50th usually means gold and green for Rolex. Gold could be the whole case or just the bracelet (two tone). Green could be as little as the GMT hand or much as the whole dial. Ceramic bezel is possible but it would make the explorer 2 look like the submariner so not so sure about that even a green bezel. Cellini being discontinued is a blessing not bad thing at all.

These are too many changes in single year. IMHO it is mainly explorer 2 this year and few changes in gold models and new DJ models. Call me boring but Rolex doesn’t make so many changes based on previous year’s trends

I saw predictions before for gold/two tone OPs/Explorer 1 and honestly I can see it happening since the Sea Dweller comes in two tone. Also think maybe Wimbledon dial could be put in the 36mm range. I honestly hope to high heaven that they dont put a ceramic bezel on the Explorer 2 because it just ruins the watch because theres no reason for it, the steel bezel just suits the watch. I'm also really hoping that Tudor has some great releases, maybe the Prince line will be released to the rest of the world instead of being restricted to Australia and Asia. I hope that they slim the 41mm cases down, I also hope that they release more than just the Black Bay though as it seems that Tudor is more or less known as the Black Bay company. Either way great video and I can't wait to see the new releases!

I can see Rolex doling out an Explorer I with a sunburst green dial and green bezel with an updated movement. However, it's going to be an all white gold rather than SS.

My prediction is Rolex is going to turn something that wasn’t that high on the desirability scale into the next hottest and most desirable thing. What about Tudor? A new mil sub line and discontinue the Pelagos?

The long and short is if you own a Rolex SS piece and intend to sell it, hold it until mid-April, Anyone who has been holding a modern piece for a while, he is just about to win a lottery:)

I can tell you two predictions, Rolex explorer from 39 to 40mm, and new movement. Rolex Daytona from 40 to 41 mm,

I still prefer the name batgirl! I don’t think the explorer 1 is going to be touched (apart from the new movement) - it’s the only 39mm sports watch they have left after they bumped the OP.

So does every Rolex get to rise in value when it gets discontinued? Guess that depends if the offering of the new models has more appeal than the outgoing models. A bunch of these discontinued watches are getting dumped from the catalog for a reason. They were ugly and unpopular. Once they go away everyone loses their minds. Speculative bubbles are the worst.
