From a time when suicide van bombs were considered funny! - One of my favourite Bond car chases from one of my favourite Bond films ... for a long time an 'outcast' but now almost fully integrated into the official Bond mythology in books, shows, music compilations, screenings etc. - Also nice to see it in French ... As we learnt at the castle, all of Dr Noah's agents are French so this is how they would have been communicating anyway.

The bird's eye-view at 2:02 was filmed from the balcony of a building I used to work in (the old Met Office HQ in Bracknell). Unfortunately I didn't realise this until the building had been closed, otherwise I would have gone up there to take a comparison photo.

Great soundtrack from Burt Bacharach

The sexy mod driver of the Jaguar (which here is only referred to as "Jag" by the women in the control room) gets blown up by her own evil milk truck. The only thing I remember about this scene, which isn't shown here, is an old woman who's almost hit while crossing the street in a crosswalk by these vehicles, and she exclaims angrily, "Didn't he see the zebra?" - meaning the crosswalk lines. In the USA we didn't have crosswalks painted that way in 1967, so I had no idea what she meant by "zebra".

- Got milk? (I was going to go for a joke about "Shaken, not stirred" but that would just be yoghurt).
