I am too... After 2 month in grief and sadness I now realize I have different options. In the darkest hours you just don't see all the cards on your hand. After what she did to me I don't see a way of getting back together. It's still kinda sad but I learnt to accept - it was so tough. She made me feel that way. Whenever I look back I now see her making me feel faulty, less attractive and most of all: insecure! How could I ever want that back? She never took over any responsibility for what she sad or did. Best is to move on quick! I sometimes cry, yes, but these are now tears for having wasted so much time trying to understand and love someone who simply didn't want me in her life anymore. Goodbye Ex!

My situation is weird and complicated. He is being forced to stay away from me by his father (hes almost 18, still living at home) and I can't really talk to him. His dad is controlling his feelings for him right now, he's not allowed to text or call me. I am still in NC and it's been a month and I decided I'll reach out another month from now since our situation is a bit unique and we were forced apart by a third party. I also need something back from him that belongs to me. I'm keeping it casual and doing the best I can not to pounce and bother him because silence is power! I've actually been working on myself a lot and doing better without him, but I still love and want to be with him.

My current ex said to me in her previous message which I’ve added this a few times, she said we could remain friends but for now she wants to be single for a bit to look after her elderly dad who has pressure sores and her mum is becoming poorly, I told her in my final communication that I couldn’t just remain friends as I only want a relationship with you as I know my worth, my value and I’m irreplaceable, and when we get back into work that I’ll just be professional around you so there will be no kissing or cuddling. Her final communication with me was , it’s my loss that you cannot remain friends and it’s a decision that i’m going to have to live with for the rest of my life, I read what she had to say and I went straight into NC which was 9 days ago , not sure how it’s going to be when we finally get back into work and we get to see each other again..

I want my ex back, it’s been four years, and yet what I want more than my own selfish desire for her to be in my life is for her to have what she wants in her life, even if that’s someone else, of course it would hurt but I would support it if it meant she was happy and felt loved. I’d like it to be me because I can see and trust my love and intentions, but as uncomfortable as it makes me to imagine her with someone else that’s only because I want her to be loved properly. ​@@DatMusicGuyZ Thank goodness. So there really is hope.. My ex and I have been in a serious long-term, long distance relationship for around 2 years. We were friends for 1 year before that. But unfortunately I think the distance, and her mental health finally got to her. It's a long story but basically she left me for another guy, and I didn't really know about it. Two months later he broke up with her, they made up, had more sex, then he broke up with her again a week later (oddly enough for the same reason she gave me, in which he said he needs to "work on himself.") I thought it was all basically over and she was going to work on "us" again, her mental health, and to stay single to focus on herself, but I found out again (this time by pure accident) that she is with another guy only two weeks later. I don't really blame her because I'm also dating again, but it still caught me off guard. Especially because the guy (and even the guy previously) are nothing really like me, so I suspect it is definitely a rebound. With that all said though I started no contact a week before Christmas, and so far she's sent me some mixed signals (a Christmas greeting, and asking me if I still wanted to watch an anime we planned to watch together when it comes out). I found out after I said yes, so I ended up asking her if she was dating anyone (cause I don't wanna watch it with her if she's with someone, but also to see what she would say). But I was met with no response, and a block on Facebook. She still seems to follow me on everywhere else though. Not sure if my number is blocked because I didn't say anything else after that, but I'm definitely not looking to find out.. Anyway, I'm just hoping she will one day realize what she let go of. I gave her my world, and I was genuinely ready to marry this girl eventually. We had plans to move in together, once we could close the distance. October was supposed to be the month we were going to meet for the first time, but sadly covid ruined those plans and we ultimately ended up in this situation.. I lost my best friend. She hurt me tons over what she did, but I still want her back. Our relationship was always really good before all of this, and it was never toxic. We genuinely had a good relationship.. It seemed like a huge waste that she would throw that all away, but I guess I do understand it. We'll need to have a talk, maybe therapy, and for her to give me a genuine apology. But until then, I guess I need to do my best to move on and keep up this no contact thing.. I just wonder how much longer it'll be before I hear from her again, or if our relationship/friendship is even repairable again. I can't imagine my life without her.. Even if we do happen to end up with different people. It's been since the end of September that this all started (when she met the first guy), and this honestly still feels like a dream. I honestly never thought I'd be in this situation. Hopefully over time I could at least get more closure, by seeing her in person one of these days. Probably won't be for awhile, but it's something I'd definitely like to do eventually. Sorry that was longer than intended, but I'm glad to see that you're hearing back from them. No contact has worked for me in the past, but there's still so much uncertainty.. I don't wanna lose such a good thing permanently. I believe my ex is just confused, and hurting a lot mentally. I don't believe she hurt me intentionally. The stress of school, graduation, careers, family, financial concerns, getting her hopes up about seeing me/me in general, and her mental health are all likely what's been on her mind. I could say that I hate her for everything that happened, but truthfully I could probably always forgive her. She just needs to fix this, and I hope she does. I guess I'll see what happens.
