My mom used to say that PMS was “Putting up with Men’s Shit” not hormones. Yep, we are not always reduced to what our hormones are.

My 60 yo male friend says it’s man-o -pause because we women pause the man! Lol it’s true. It all takes time.

I wonder if not having enough oestradiol is the problem. In HRT we get enough to stop hot flushes and night sweats, but not enough to feel like sex. Pre menopausally, we feel most sexy at ovulation, when our oestrogen and testosterone are both high. So we don't get enough oestrogen with a patch, but we're not 'allowed' any more, so take testosterone to fill in the gap, as well as for its own benefits. And the other thing, for the men, is that when they get prescribed testosterone or viagra, are they considering whether their female partner can actually have pain free, comfortable intercourse? VA is torture enough, without renewed male expectations. Quite a lot to think about 😊xx

You feel sexy at ovulation because testosterone peaks
