@@raccoon2276 The golden ratio a pattern noticed in nature. It is considered geometrically "perfect". Consider the fibbanachi (I spelled thag wrong) sequence. 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 etc.. The ratio between each of the numbers get's prigressively more refined. 8/5 = 1.6 13/8 = 1.625 21/13 = 1.61 Etc. Math is cool :)

The Fibanacci sequence and the golden ratio are basically synonymous since the golden ratio is just any physical, or visual, representation of the Fibanacci sequence. The golden ratio is not incorrect. So yeah you can call it either of these two. I’d argue however m the golden ratio is more correct, in this context anyway, since it’s to do with geometry and not the numerical sequence (which you can’t represent in any finite space since it’s infinite).

At this point I genuinely believe that we’re gonna go back to a 4:3 ratio for “more vertical space”. I also feel like there’s going to be back and forth battle from 16:9 to 4:3 as people want more space on either side lmao

@@chrissieblossom Yeah... to that I simply say get a monitor with more pixels so you can expand in both directions. You could also get a larger screen in terms of length if people want it to feel physically larger. Imo this would be a better solution to “more vertical” or “more horizontal” space thing.

@@chrissieblossom Very few games I run into these days that doesn't support 21:9. Sure, at times you get some HUD issues like cutscenes being made for 16:9, and it showing a picture outside of some 16:9 overlay, but it's really not that bad. For productivity I'm uncertain if I'll be able to go back to not having two "full-screen" applications next to one another, without either feeling squished. Gaming is fine though. Any modern title is a non-issue, and even older titles have very little issues.

I was kinda genuinely sad when alex said that he's willing to give up a type A in exchange for a larger trackpad. That's a damn tiny trackpad and I'm not sure any meaningful changes could be made to it's size without pushing the keyboard up so much that the edges of the laptop don't dig into my wrists. Plus having a type A without worrying about a dongle makes life so much better.

I'll agree with that, but small usb-a to usb-c adapters are so commonplace at this point, that it's not that much of an issue anymore. Having the trackpad be big enough to use on the go is something that a device like this would benefit more from. In all honesty, if you're using this on a desktop, as a potential desktop replacement, you will be buying a dock to supplement the ports lost anyways. However, what this thing offers versus what you could get with the price is so off-putting that there is no way that anyone could justify that cost. If they were to compete with HP using their own designs, the point would be that they need to undercut HP in order for them to get people to buy this at all, this would only be for someone who even has an idea to look for this, but most people would more likely buy an Apple product if they were into this kind of vanity opulence range.

You should check out the 12th gen Summit E14, I’ve had mine a while now and it seems like they fixed a lot of the things you mentioned, like the keyboard, and track pad is bigger. Also the screen is more solid I couldn’t get mine to just fall over like that.

I think we should expect RAM slots on this one. There are dell laptops with the same cpu along with RAM slots and an M.2 slot, which btw cost less than $1500.

im glad that they have a usb port because if you are a professional, you are using a mouse and at that point, a dedicated usb is so nice. You also dont need a trackpad as much

Been really wanting the new msi stealth 15m but at 1600$ cad it was just a bit to expensive for the battery life and 45% ntsc screen this however I can get with 1280p at 1400cad which is really enticing even if I'm sacrificing the rtx3060 45w

I just bought the msi ge 66 with a Rtx 3070....it is my first gpu since the gt 570. I am truly at loss for words at how fast it is. Its my first pc that was not a hand me down.

Well it’s pretty simple buddy, companies send short circuit their laptops to get reviewed and Alex has reviewed lots of laptops, as he stated multiple times in the video he’s obviously comparing the MSI laptop to other laptops he’s done reviews on. So if you want to go and waste 1800 dollars on another overpriced msi laptop then please be my guest

Lenovo makes the best pen because it stores inside of the laptop and charges while it is there, and personally, i like 4:3 displays because it exactly fits my photos

I have to ask. How low sensivity you have set on your touchpad? Why is it need to be that big? The old macbook trackpad (the one used till 2016 mbp refresh) was the perfect size for me. I find myself using only around that space even on devices with bigger ones. Also using mouse i"m not that into low sensivity input devices..

I have this laptop and I just bought it because someone was selling it for half the price (new, because he bought it on amazon price error). For this price it is awesome. I don't see the same cons as you, for me I just don't like how it gets super hot quickly.
