I am in complete awe about this...I never met Disco...I've never met Chrome...when Chrome announced Disco's passing a little over 2 years ago...I cried...crazy...how in the world I'm I attached to that sweet doggie I had never met...when Chrome showed us again where Disco's is laid to rest...I cried...I love this channel...best on KZfaq...I wonder where would vanlife be with out Chrome Valdez!! RIP Disco...much love to you Chrome & Cruz. Peace.

I was at work when I read the news about Disco. I too started crying, right there. Everyone was asking what happened and I explained about a wonderful dog and his owner that I'd gotten to know on KZfaq. 😔🥰😔

Hi Chrome :-) I was wiping tears off my cheeks hearing about Disco ... I certainly know that heartache in fact today I return a Beloved fur baby to Mother Earth. I shared a dog equally with a best friend. Rufus was half bulldog and half Shar-Pei he passed in his sleep a very old age. Those of us who love our dogs definitely know this pain and it never truly goes away, the pain stays parallel to the beautiful loving memories. Hugs and tons of love to you xo

I, too have cried tears over the years for my human family and “fur children” alike. Tears are shed for Disco and you in your loss Tears dry and pain softens, but memories are forever! We may ease our hurts by adopting a deserving new “fur child” at some point in time, but they never really replace our fur babies in our♥️😿❤️

For 20 years I enjoyed camping in a 20 foot trailer everywhere, now I live in a very small town, around 1,000 people surrounded by woods and I live in a 800 sq foot full log home, its 80 years old and its precious. I got christmas tree lights up in every room for ambience and a huge back yard. There can be life after van life, just keep that in mind. I still live in my mind camping. Every day I am camping out in my log cabin. Its precious. Love it. I still feel like I am living in my trailer, I always will in my mind.

That hurts man... I instantly got VERY emotional. My Stinky Dog/AJ died after 13 years and it literally just about killed me.😔 I got him after I lost my Stinky butt/Aaron. I'm still in the healing process. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of both of them. I feel your pain Brother.

I love Victoria (and Vancouver Island). Thank you for a trip down memory lane. I’m from Washington State but lived in Victoria for several months while taking a class and my family has vacationed there many times. I’m looking forward to visiting again when the border restrictions are lifted. It always feels like I’m going home when I get on the Victoria Ferry ⛴!

The pandemic is really exacerbating the homeless situation too. Shelters can only operate at a much lower capacity, that's why the City of Victoria is allowing 24 hour camping in the parks, when usually it's for night time only, making the campers have to pack up their belongings everyday.

I agree chrome the need to follow the law and read the signs. Otherwise you will be looked at as troublemakers and undesirables instead of people walking up saying that's cool and just conversing with you. It's not that hard to follow rules and regulations. That is so nice of people to let you know that Discos sticker was gone. May the little guy rest in peace and know how much he was loved and is missed.

*A big city lawyer went duck hunting in rural North Alberta. He shot & dropped a duck, but it fell into a farmer’s field on the other side of the fence. As the lawyer climbed over the fence, an elderly farmer drove up on his tractor & asked him what he was doing. The lawyer responded, “I shot a duck & it fell in this field, and now I’m going to retrieve it.” The old farmer Pete replied, “This is my property & you are not coming over here.” The indignant lawyer said, “I am one of the best lawyers in Canada & if you don’t let me get that duck, I’ll sue you & take everything you own.” The old farmer smiles and said, “Apparently, you don’t know how we settle disputes in Alberta. We settle small disagreements like this with the ‘Three Kick Rule.’ The lawyer asked, “What is the ‘Three Kick Rule’?” Farmer Pete replied, “Well, because the dispute occurs on my land, I go first. I kick you three times & then you kick me three times & so on back and forth until someone gives up.” The lawyer quickly thought about the proposed contest & decided that he could easily take the old codger. He agreed to abide by the local customs. The old farmer slowly climbed down from the tractor & walked up to the attorney. His first kick planted the toe of his heavy steel-toed work boot into the lawyer’s groin & dropped him to his knees!! His second kick to the midriff sent the lawyer’s last meal gushing from his mouth. The lawyer was on all fours when the farmer’s third kick was to his rear end, sent him face-first into a fresh cow pie. Summoning every bit of his will & remaining strength, the lawyer very slowly managed to get to his feet. Wiping his face with his arm of his jacket, he said, “Okay, you old fart. Now it’s my turn!” Farmer Pete smiled & said, “Nah, I give up. You can have the duck.”* 🦆😂
