As much as I enjoy your "fancy" camera setups, I like the walk and seeing junk finds included maybe more. Your GoPro from your chest mount is fine with me. As long as we get to spend some time with you, life is good. : ) Take care and God bless!

Hi Mish, my Hubby & I are fellow Aussies from Perth and just love watching your metal detecting adventures! have learned so much from you and always have a chuckle when we find a sinker! On a camping trip my must have is my comfy inflatable lounge chair to relax after many hours detecting! Oh and not forgetting the hot chocolate with marshmallows! Thanks for this competition and we look forward to your next detecting adventures 😁

Hey Mish, great video and a great competition for us Aussies. I find that the most important/useful thing to take camping is a good LED headlamp - being able to keep both hands free for doing tasks is very useful.

Michelle, that was a fun hunt! Those big trees in the background were winking at me - hope you had the chance to have a swing under them. Ooh I love competitions! I would take a hotel with me, because the ‘camping under the stars’ that I like to do, is 5 stars 😉 Bahahaha just kidding. I love camping but I wanted to be unique, creative and funny 😁 Seriously though, I would take my ukulele camping, because who doesn’t like a little sing-a-long around the camp fire 🔥. Thanks again for being awesome at creating your content! Camille

Love camping, detecting, exploring and travelling but I'm not getting any younger so the best bit of kit I have found that is extremely useful for me is (cover your eyes fellas) the rubber thing called a she-pee! Sooo handy in the bush when you have arthritic knees plus saves you from squatting over a bullants nest! Love your videos Mish. Cheers. XX

Thick long pants, super heavy jacket, industrial type gloves, how cold does it get down there? In the winter when it gets cool we think about putting on a thicker T shirt in the Hunter area! The answer to your question varies, my wife would probably say - her. After regular camping with virtually nothing other than food and booze, and sitting on the ground all weekend when we were in our late teens, I have found the most appreciated thing to take away is a comfortable camp chair. Cheers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed another quality video you posted. Tell Warren he is a lucky man sharing the hunt with you! There is one essential thing I do take with me camping is my Metal Detector. I dare not go camping without it, as it gives me the opportunity to explore new detecting areas. I dare say that the Bluetti EB3A prize would definitely keep the Detector and caravan powered up! Thank you for another great video as it shows that sometimes coffee money is the best result. :)

Hi Mish, I firstly wanted to say thank you. My hubby has seen me watching your videos a lot and I have passed on all the tips you have given. So for Christmas he upgraded my very cheap old metal detector for a lovely new minelab. I'm not eligible for the contest but if there's one thing I know about camping and outdoor survival, you never go without a knife. Depending on the terrain and environment, you can use a knife to hunt, prepare food, defend yourself, dig, build a shelter and build a fire. I mean think about it. Who was one of the greatest outdoorsman to ever live? He survived the wilds of Africa as a child and eventually became the King of the Jungle. That's right, Tarzan. All he carried was a knife....oh, and his loin cloth. So a knife and a loin cloth. Gotta have a loin cloth so you have somewhere to hang your knife. Looking forward to your next adventure, Mish! Later, friend! 🗡🩲

Well none of us go out expecting to find a fortune, but we always live in hope, you just never know what might be in the next hole! thats the fun of it for me! and those unexpected finds that keep you smiling for ages afterward. As for favorite items i take camping with me, My guitar is a must take, so that I can torture the local wildlife and prevent anybody camping to close by, but what i have found out is it is usually something I have left behind, like blankets, ive spent several nights trying to sleep with all my clothing laid over me to keep warm, or cooking utensils, plenty of food but nothing to cook it on, but the best thing to have with you is a good companion to share your trip with, and talk about the day, and what you might do next, Yep! being able to share the experience, and to be able to reminice about that particular time in your life, with someone who shared it with you. Thats where the gold is! Cheers Mish!
@DirtFishMish

I don't think your guitar playing would be torturous Wayne, it was the first thing I spotted when I walked over to say hello at the hunt weekend! I'd be able to play a mean four-chord tune as well as tune up a guitar by pitch but alas, that's about where I'm limited to these days, I gave up the lessons a long time ago. I'm a shocker for leaving crucial pieces of equipment at home and yet somehow we always manage to find a solution once we're at our destination. The companion choice is great. Cheers mate!

Hey there, firstly I just want to say thanks for the content, its great to see another aussie on here.. just picked up my new Eq800 from Anaconda, as for the I won't go camping without would be my reclining camp chair, its always a real good laugh whenever I get off it and my mates all scramble to try to use it and then it just always continues from there to see who gets it next😅😂, cheers, Troy

Can't recall the last time I went camping without my Moka pot, if I don't get that coffee bubbling away when I roll out of the swag then I know the day is not going to be easy

Thanks for the video! I never leave for camping without a sandwich bag. Why? Well, it's where I keep my toilet paper, because I have found from experience that there is little in my daily life that is worse than wet toilet paper when I needed it most. TP is important, but dry TP is importanter 🙃

Just watched this as I was out camping, somewhat ironically. My favorite camping necessity would be my wife, lol. Can't go camping without her. I'm not Australian though, so no Bluetti for us...
