It's actually regarded as the greatest female album of the century by RollingStone and ranked as the second greatest album of ALL TIME by a female artist, and it holds the 32nd position overall. And Yes, she did not win album of the year for this. it's actually considered as one of the biggest snubs in Grammy history. Glad you liked it.

Yeessss!!! A true masterpiece!!! She was snubbed for Album of the Year. Adele won and during her acceptance speech, she talked about how Beyoncé's album was the album that SHE connected to MOST that year. EVERYONE in that room KNEW Beyoncé should've won AOTY. A travesty that I still haven't gotten over smh

Maybe in the full reaction you caught onto the heavy Black Culture references, but you are right that she took us on a journey of the different stages of grief. Not just about a romantic relationship, but family, and ancestors too! Definitely a masterpiece.

It's WILD. I'm a white woman from Germany and did not even live in the US when any of these instances of police brutality took place and I still knew about them and recognized the mothers and sons.

The screenshot just unlocked an antigay memory. That image of Bey was on a Formation tour shirt. I bought the shirt and only got to wear it once. And couldn’t save it in my memory storage. A certain family member repeatedly kept taking this shirt. Gave it to my sister. I took it back. Put it in storage. I accidentally found it and took it back. They got it again. It's absolutely stunning how little you seem to know about the sociopolitical references in this video. You somehow don't know who Serena Williams is or who Trayvon Martin was, or that New Orleans flooded post Katrina. That you never once acknowledged how politics influenced the visual and vocals here says a lot about the bubble you might live in.

That album was I Am… Sasha Fierce (single ladies). She had 2 albums in between that album and Lemonade, 4 and her self titled album, BEYONCÉ.
