There's lots of gravelly goodness to be had in LBL!

Nice! I am going to have to see about getting my gang up to LBL for some gravel rides. We visited The Homeplace a few years ago and I have been wanting to get back for some biking, kayaking, and camping in our homebuilt teardrop. Thanks for sharing

This looks like a great place to take my daughter for a bike packing trip. I sold my bike last year and I’m wanting to get another one. Do you have any suggestions?

Depends on what kind of riding you want to do. Salsa has a number of options with a range of price points that include both hard tail mountain bikes and gravel bikes with lots of mounts so that'd be a good place to look.

Thank you, looks like a great ride, no vehicles. I have 2 questions 1) do you think a hybrid can handle the trail and 2) any support if you get a flat?? Thanks.

To clarify, this route is on a combination of gravel and paved forest roads so there were some vehicles, but not a lot. If you want to ride on a dedicated trail in LBL, I'd recommend checking out the Central Hardwoods Trail, which starts at about 5 minutes into this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ftGWgZWCm8rJl4U.htmlsi=FkUHzufS6cLQLZUY. In response to your questions: 1) Yes, a hybrid can handle it, though I'd recommend at least a 35mm tire. 2) You would need to be self-supported on this ride and probably wouldn't encounter other cyclists. However, on the Central Hardwoods Trail, you would be much more likely to see other cyclists who might be able to stop and help. But, I'd encourage you to learn how to fix a flat!
