Iam so grateful I came across your channel. I pulled something in my knee in March and could barely get around. I started your walking workouts and know do the 30 or 40 minute one every day and picking up speed with them . I also do you’re 5 and 10 minute core exercises. Thank you so very much. I'm new to your videos. So far, I like all of them but I do love this one! I did something to my lower back, not sure what I did (maybe twisted the the wrong way). Doesn't take much, the older you get! But it feels better when I do stretching exercises. Thank you,

My first time trying this core workout, which I did as part of Day 3 of the *1 Week Strength Training Plan - Intermediate* , following a warmup. I used a 5-pound weight for the exercises using one dumbbell and 2-pound weights for the side punches. I followed it up with your "20 minute Intermediate HIIT Workout," which I found quite challenging. Great and energizing workout!

You may have noticed that I've been "chipping away" at the huge array of exercises you offer, April. This one's such a keeper because it's slow, deliberate, and almost contemplative in nature. I prefer the slower routines to the very vigorous ones, although many serve one's cardio needs which I diligently do. This routine was sooo good that I did 2 back-to-back! I used weights, but did have to lower my arms to 45 degree angles with 3 lb. weights to do the twist due to rotator cup weakness in my right shoulder. Too, I first did the lateral ab work one side at a time. The second time around I had weights in both hands and alternated. Is that O.K.? I love variety and this ab routine adds that to my ab exercises. A hearty thank you to you both!...Anastsia

I'm 61 and just 'discovered' your channel! You remind me of me and my mom...lol. We would be the same doing this together. I bookmarked this and it'll be combined with your other 15-min video so I will trick myself into doing 25 mins a day. :) I ride a bike and walk, but I needed to round out my workout with abs work, too. This fills that void nicely! Thank you. Also, I love that you're also working in a relaxing atmosphere with nice mellow music. It WORKS!

Thanks I'm enjoying these core exercises. I'm not clear though specifically what it means in these core exercises, and others, when you say 'engage your core'. Can you somewhere talk about what you mean by this April, and what that should feel like. in general, I appreciate all the times when you mention what a specific exercise should feel like. It really helps me orient to the muscles we are working on. Thanks to you both - yes2next has give me a new lease on life. xx

🐈Soooo glad I started this.....I hope to take you up on the idea of doing this daily. My doctor told me recently that I need to strengthen my core as a result of my legs just collapsing on me when I stood up (after sitting for two hours at the movies)...my legs are strong it seems😊 so that's good! Always HI to Mouchi (sp?)💖

Tried this one today. Had to substitute something for the twist move because of arthritis in lower back area. I did forward lifts instead because I've been told by my physical therapist not to do any twisting moves. I still got the benefit of the core tightening.

I love your exercise videos. I have developed a rather unsteady gait; just started using a cane if on uneven surfaces. I'm thinking I need legs, core & balance strength training. I want to feel more confident & strong when I walk. Any other exercise suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Ann! Shoulder distance apart is slightly wider than hip distance apart. With hip distance, your hips are in a straight vertical line aligning hips and knees.

What's the weight size you recommend for this?

It depends on your level of strength. These exercises can be done with or without weights. The exercises should be challenging but doable. For each exercise, if you find it is very challenging by the 10th repetition, then that may be a good weight to start with. Starting with water bottles or cans are good to start with for beginners. I use a 5 lb weight in the video. I hope this is helpful.

Too lazy to do excercise especially in morning, what is the 2nd best time to do excercise, I am in late 50’s very stiff body back and knee problems

I love that you are focused on doing exercise! Generally, exercising any time of day is fine -- listen to your body on what feels good. I recommend allowing 1-2 hours after eating before working out and not working out 2-3 hours before bedtime. (But stretching before sleep is fine). You may want to try our stretching videos to help with muscle stiffness. bit.ly/3onZUT1

The Standing core workout starts out fine but after second exercise your voice cuts out then music starts to boom/tried adjusting volume but cannot hear you April

Hi ladies , haven't moved much lately but missing you & your workouts ,knowing my body needs movement , I completed 2 workouts . I 'm more out of shape then I expected , discomfort hindered my movement so I slowed down significantly . I'll be trying your walking workouts for awhile .So grateful you are available .
