Your channel popped up in a conversation with an Instagram content creator upon speaking about how it feels tailoring is a bit of a lost art. Yes, your channel was recommended. On a somewhat side note, from someone who has done sewing and knitting, I seriously agree. There are too many stereotypes and content, making it feel inaccessible to men. The manner you express/explain everything is a breath of fresh air.

@@StylishDTailors I've only used the machine on some scraps so far, testing out the different stitches and settings. It sure is "modern" compared to my mom's Singer she bought in 1969 I was using. The auto needle threading took a few tries since I'm used to threading the needle but I love that feature! My first project is going to be altering and hemming curtains, then on to bigger things!

@@StylishDTailors oh sir you should see what I'm doing ive had 5 so far I have so many cloths and I'm just spending Saturday through Sunday tailoring The Whole Day, LITERALLY, my wife use to have to remind me to eat lol I was that passionate once I had my cloths fit me for the first time, Sheila said she thank you in the end 😂😂

Hi, I have seen some of your videos and I have got the pleasure to tailor my clothes as well. My Problem: I have a few shirts that are a little too small for me now because I started hiting the gym. Is there a way i can make a shirt wider or bigger?

You can yes BUT it's not necessarily by a large amount. Ultimately it's not worth it...

What about work pants like carhartts? Do you do anything different? What thread should I use? What needle?

Nope same steps apply, just use a more heavy duty needle and thread.

@@StylishDTailors thanks. Going to give this a shot, Carhartts are super big! If you ever run out of ideas, a lot of us wear tougher work gear and that may make a good video. Love the videos and you’ve inspired at least one guy! Keep it up

Most of the time tension is because you're threaded wrong!

Actually you can add width. I color block to make it look intentional. I cut 5 patterns to small. Poop
