People are looking for a scapegoat when the reality is that most of the people at these game studios dont agree with you politically so the writing in their games are going to show that sometimes. If the yakuza games were made by a western developer everyone in the community would call them woke.

The whole notion of 'woke' and anti-'woke' is really something we mainly see in West. Personally I don't mind if these kinds of things are in or not in video games, movies, etc. What I do care about is when these things are forced in media just to look like they're being inclusive. Sweet Baby Inc is just acting in an advisory role in a specific aspect of a game. The developer is the one that is deciding to include said content in the first place and they're asking Sweet Baby Inc on suggestions on how to go about handling it. I wasn't even aware that people were that mad at them. The people that get so obsessive and are loud about 'woke' stuff are basically conspiracy theorists. you just have to look at the facts and be honest, they are responsible for: - awful Spider-Man 2 dialogue and forced meaningless pandering missions, they pretty much ruined the entire side content in the game and the character of MJ and her relationship with Peter - Angrboda in God of War Ragnarok is absolutely meaningless and is pretty much a segment of the game that is universally hated - Suicide Squad main characters are clowns and the Justice League members are nothing like they should be, they don't know how Green Lanter Rings work, they made Batman a parody and so much more - Gotham Knights full of needless pandering any game they touch, it stinks, there is nothing you can point to that they have done that is good, and they are on record saying that they do weeks worth of work in the last hours of the contract delivery time because they don't feel like working, they literally said this you can watch the video

I honestly feel like the hate isn't being directed properly. If you have a problem with some of the writing in modern games cause you think it's "woke," you should be more upset with the studio instead of the consulting firms. The studio has already made it clear that they want a particular direction with their writing, the consulting firms are just adhering to what the studio wants and giving them advice.

I agree... but still if a developer hires a consultant group that we know has some kind of ideas... then we know the developers have those ideas.. and we want to be informed... the curator in question should have flagged the reviews as informative instead of not recommended... cause we just want to know... i believe most people that followed the group think just like you and are tired of both sides they just dont want the "real world politics" seeping into their stories... include who you want but dont make it part of the stupid woke/anti-woke war... we just want to play.... The more I think about it, more it really just feels like people are overreacting over a nothing-burger. Especially given it is the developers that approach studios like Sweet Baby Inc. to get their advice on how get right the diversity they want to add to their projects. And even looking at their track record on their website, they worked on quite a good number of games that were praised by critics and user reviews. The worst they really seemed to do was that they worked on 2 divisive games: - Goodbye Volcano High: Worked on Narration Design and Direction, and Writing. - Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League: Worked on the Scriptwriting. That's about it. The studio itself, I just find to be completely inoffensive. And even if this company ceases to exist, another one will exist in its place, and developers will go to that studio to seek out similar advice.

I disagree with SBI not having power. When youre on a budget, you need to make the most of the money beint spent. As someone who consulted and has worked with consultants, when you bring them in, you're ultimately going to go with their recommendation. There might be some pushback, but it's typically a settled issue. No one hires McKinsey to say thanks but no thanks.

If I see a game that has this to where I can`t avoid it (spider-man 2) I`M NOT BUYING THE GAME. Also I don`t like that they are making female characters ugly coz they want to appeal to the trans, remember these are the same people that mutilate themselves then kill themselves coz they regret it, people that hate themselves so why are you frigging trying to appeal the those people? This is why people like Stellar Blade coz Eve is attractive but people are upset about that, if people are upset with that then they are really going to get upset with a game called Shred & tear: Explosive Kaiju that is "worse" than that.
