Kidambi's Kitchen, a South Indian restaurant in Banashankari Bangalore has recently started a Tamilnadu wedding style breakfast spread. Priced at 99/- the breakfast combo includes Rava Kesari, Rava Kichadi, Ven Pongal, Medu Vada, Idly, three types of Chutney, TN style Sambar, one Dosa of Choce (Podi Dosa, Masal Dosa or Rava Dosa). In one word, it was phenomenal. Each and every dish is made impeccable, with right amount of spices and very less oil. Though all the dishes were good, the highlights are Sambar, Rava Dosai abd Kesari. Of course, the chutneys were too good to and they packed a punch. If you are looking for an ideal Tamil style breakfast spread, visit this place.

The restaurant owner says price for combo breakfast as Rs.199 in the comments. The title in the Instagram says Rs.99, the black board in the restaurant says combo breakfast Rs 99. Confused

This breakfast combo at 99/- was there till December as a promotional offer, now they have changed it to 199/-.

The think creamy Lentil Sambar is very nice to see, as it is very very rare to find in Bangalore!!😄😄I dont know why the servers keep the Dosai along the edges of the leaves and the Dosai's edges are frighteningly touching the table a bit. Very scary and Unhygeinic! They have to be very careful while serving Dosai!😳☺

Yes, they serve Upma and Rava kichadi in TN, but in this Tamil style breakfast spread at Kidambi's Kitchen, they serve Kara bath.🙂

Tamil style, especially for wedding breakfast - first item you put on banana leaf/ plate should be Sweet item But you served chatni first!!! NO NO NO

Though the dishes are prepared by the regional chefs, finally they get served by waiters who are from North Eastern India. Unless they are properly trained, this will happen. In the highly volatile food industry, with people regularly moving around, it will be a challenge for the restaurateurs to give quality food and maintain these customs. By the way, do way have any guideline available (either a book or on internet), that one can refer to uphold these customs?
