Good list, but Britain's greatest achievement was definitely the McLaren F1. I'd say it's more iconic than the MINI.

Mine’s very close to what Brad has. Changed order and swapped the UK car #5: Nissan R35 GT-R (Japan) #4: Dodge Viper ACR (USA) #3: Porsche 911 (year doesn’t really matter to me) (Germany) #2: Aston Martin DB-5 (UK) #1: Ferrari F40 (Italy)

I wanted the Mini when I got my driver's license in the 60's. But instead I got a Green 1940 Dodge pickup truck. It was OLD and falling apart. But it had a strong engine that would lift the front up when you floored it. I had an awesome summer with that truck driving from beach to party to beach and back home. I left the keys in the sun visor, and my buddy Gav HATED that. His parents bought him a brand new car. I only spent $170 on my truck. But my truck was always the one we used to travel. People would just hop in the back. I used it for 18 months, then sold it to a junk yard for $100 once the engine died. When you have a POS vehicle that you don't care about, it makes driving so much more fun. Oh!!! Sometimes if you were in 2nd gear and floored it too fast, it would shoot a LOUD flame out the muffler. Some people say, "where does the time go?". By the time I was 35, I felt like I like 80 years. And now that I'm 81, I feel like I'm passed my expiration. I don't act/look my age. Unless you ask my knees, haha.

C5 Z06. It's pound for pound still the best performance for the money running strong for the last 15 years plus. If you like tuning there is a huge aftermarket and if you address its weak points it becomes a killer track car. It's a car with excellent weight balance that responds extremely well to suspension mods. GM did not do the car justice with leaf springs, poorly valved shocks, and those horrible goodyear f1 tires. Throw on some quality coilovers, sway bars, and grippy tires and these things pull G's. They're also extremely reliable and can take a beating for years and years and still keep on kicking.

1 THE LFA - for the pure engineering perfection with an amazing backstory 2 bugatti veyron - pushed the limit for how fast we can truly make cars go 3 - porshe 911 series - porshe seem to be the king of sports cars because they are actually reliable 4 - R35 gtr was a great choice, as much was people love the older cars, the r35 objectively is the better beast. Amazing car 5 - Toyota Century, imo the best yet most simple luxury car

I was surprised to learn of the trophies you mentioned earned by the Viper. However, in terms of production cars, I believe you should give the C7 Z06 a nod. It's a world beater for a fraction of the cost and on-going maintenance headaches with EVERY car that comes close to its performance. Thanks!

I can’t argue with the Widowmaker pick, but I have to contest the year model you chose. In 1977 the 930 still used the 3.0 flat six, whereas all subsequent 930’s used the 3.3L intercooled engine. In addition to this, the 1989 model utilised the superior G50 5-speed transmission. Surely the 1989 model would be the greatest pick for this generation of 911’s? That’s really the only gripe I have. Otherwise, an excellent and entertaining video!

Interesting list and the cars on it are certainly superstars but I can also think of maybe equally worthy alternatives (not saying they are my fav but would give the cars on the list a run for their money such as: Japan - NSX (I mean come on pretty much a road legal F1 car and pure engineering no forced induction it’s a masterpiece), Germany - E30 M3 (again a road legal race car no doubt the 911 turbo is a beast but all things considered), then GB - E-type (I hate myself for this because I’m not a fan but that’s the car that I think of first when it comes to iconic British mass produced sports Cars , now reliability is a different story but we are talking British here) Italy - 250GTO (Gotta say the F40 is probably my favourite Ferrari but if we are talking overall the 60’s GTO might just edge it out) America - (to tough to call)

I think the second generation Crown Vic Police Interceptor deserves honorable mention. They weren't quick, they weren't fast but they took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. And the back seat was comfortable AF for a cop car.

Mainly because no Legend is called a Legend and gets to still live. But the Corvette C7 is just... For me, they got everything right in that car. I agree with the Mini a lil' bit. I mean, I can't talk much actually cuz they never quite caught my attention. What you say is right tho. And that Montecarlo Rally is absolutely bananas. Praise the skills. Chose the F1 cuz... well... dude. I don't have to say it, do I? One of the first production cars to reach 380 km\h AND still has the fastest, meanest baddest naturally aspirated engine in the world. I agree the R35 is the top car from Japan. I wish I got mine sooner. It's only 830 WHP but still is more car than I need. It handles like a car smaller, as it's almost nimble. I've spanked a few official "super cars" with it. Again my only regret is not getting one sooner.
