Eva's sister said it best - "She's been dead to us for 17 years". Eva must have been quite a sketchy character for her family to have stayed away from her for so long, even in death, they wanted nothing to do with her. Thanks BC for another great story.

That was a good case! (Well they all are) The haunting thing is that my Great Aunt talked about her father always going to Little Eva's Place and said there was always that ONE DRUNK EMPLOYEE.

Well, this one was bit of a shocker!! Eva was born in my hometown of Haliburton!! I do genealogy research, but had never heard a whisper of this tale. She is actually recorded in my family tree, but is not a direct descendant.

Rull Mourn: I saw your comment about ObsoleteOddity. I thought he was excellent, especially in the earlier days. His account of the Collyer Brothers was superb. However, I saw someone comment after one of ObsoleteOddity’s videos that Brief Case was a rip-off of his channel. Sadly, Obsolete agreed with the person. I felt compelled to come to Brief Cases’s Defense but was very polite in doing so. When ObsoleteOddity went to Patreon I followed along so I could still see his videos. After seeing one of them I made a comment and ObsoleteOddity immediately blocked me from his channel. I was by no means rude and was stunned when he blocked me. You've done it again. First Ruloff and now Eva Coo. I grew up listening to this murder. My grandmother grew up in Oneonta and I was born there. Crumhorn Mountain was in sight of my grandparents house and I'd sit there listening to the facts of the murder looking at the mountain between Colliersville and Cooperstown in Milford. The emphasis was always "can you believe it! Ran him over twice". It was a very big thing in that county at the time. By the way, congratulations on pronouncing Oneonta correctly. People in NY State don't always pronounce it correctly.

I can imagine her swinging that mallet down on poor Henry wearing that flowery hat! Just as well he didn't have a clue how evil she was, she seems very calculated and I wonder if she had murdered before what with all those insurance policies!
