I don't understand why you wouldn't give h3 a chance. I mean, it's not the best movie out there but it's still very enjoyable and fairly eerie.

Just like Michael Myers himself, the Halloween Franchise will never die. It will always find a way to come back.

Halloween III is a favorite of mine, and I watch it every October. You should really check it out. It's flawed, sure, but it's like an R-rated Twilight Zone episode. If you like Twilight Zone, you'll dig it.

I've actually heard that they didn't want to make Halloween II, but the studio insisted on a Michael Myers follow-up before allowing the filmmakers to make another type of Halloween film. That's what really ruined Halloween III, which is sad because that one is actually pretty damn good.

Halloween franchise is still more alive then A Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th franchises. At least Halloween 2018 was a good reboot.

Just watch H3 as a separate movie in same vein as night of the creeps (or as a double bill)

Rob Zombies first remake is my favorite Halloween movie.

4 is my favourite sequel. Love the props you give to Danielle. She was a phenomenal Child actress and grew into a terrific adult actress too. Danielle and Jamie Lee are equals when it comes to horror Queens for me. I just wish that one or the retcons included her as she didn't deserve to be forgotten like that. I heard her potentially starring in Halloween 2018 was discussed . Would have been a personal movie dream come true to see Laurie and Jamie finally as mother and Daughter against Michael, would have been so great.. Sadly her Halloeern Legacy likely ended with Zombie's sequel.

Actually in my opinion Halloween 3 was pretty good, I especially like the cheesy campy villain Mr. Cochran. Sort of a combination of Mr Scrooge & Mr Burns.

Aw man...H20 is one of my favorites too ignoring the mask snafu's. (For those who don't know they used like 3-4 different masks for some reason and in 1 scene it's very obviously CGI). But I also really like the 2018 Halloween as well. The insane amount of timelines is just...something you kind of get used to. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's like The Terminator. I kind of look at it as a choose your own adventure. Whenever I'm in the mood for some Michael Myers I think to myself..."How do I want the story to go today?" Which version do I wanna watch? So... it's pretty cool and unique in the regard I guess lol.

I had finished Halloween 2018 and first thing I had said out loud after seeing it was "I thought Judy Greer was supposed to be a good actress". I personally thought her performance in the movie was really weak.

Oh Halloween 3, one of the most hated and misunderstood movies of all time. It has some bizarre moments but its pretty good with its atmosphere. Plus Conal Cochran killed a kid way before Myers did in 2018 and he did it hardcore.

I def suggest watching the third one, the story doesn’t make much sense but I personally like it. Much more than a lot of other Halloween that came after it. I really wish they actually went the anthology route.

Unfortunately, the only way they'll stop making these sequels to nostalgic properties, let them die, and create something new, fresh, and original is if people literally say "no more", stop watching the sequels, and let the franchises die, not watching them at all even if only to hate-watch them and give them negative reviews, because that still puts butts in seats and shows interest in the nostalgic property, whereas everyone literally not caring, not watching, not talking about it and moving on with the rest of their lives is the only way to let a franchise truly die.

I honestly enjoyed part 2 bc of the eerie hospital setting It upsets me to this day how they screwed up this franchise, it could've went so far

The same arguments Vee Infuso throws at the Rob Zombie movies, you can throw at any good remake. And yes, their are some good remakes. Scarface. The Thing. DawnOfTheDead. TheFly. TheDeparted etc etc They all took a central narrative then went off n did their own thing. I think the problem comes from the fact that everyone goes into these movies with EXPECTATIONS. And if they aren’t met.....

I agree with Vee. Im over Myers and this franchise. I do love the 2018 movie and the sequels to come have me hyped but they had too many misteps and flat lined movies to really hold my attention

I havent seen all the halloween movies but at this point do I really need to. I like 1, 2, and h20. they kept it basic slasher flicks. no curse stuff. I saw halloween resurrection because i thought it would be just as good as h20. I was wrong. made zero sense to me. have seen halloween 2018. I thought it was a ok slasher flick. michael myers was extreme in it. tried to bring it back to the original one feel. had a similar feel to h20.

I may be murdered for saying this, but Zombie's H2 is a great bad film lol. The way it looked at trauma was great (having suffered trauma myself). Watching Laurie lose her mind, while over the top in a few sequences, was just raw.

No sh*t most people if they experience that amount trauma and probably blame themselves for countless deaths yeah they're probably not going to be the best mentally, so instead of Donald playing a character that has been through a great deal of trauma and acting like an actual human...we get Malcolm McDowell playing Alex Delarge playing Sam Loomis.... I just am happy that the original series did resume, 2007 if a movie got a remake, original pretty much was guaranteed to never be revisited. And Vee, 2018, it was original,it was because of 2018 that other franchise is long dormant or stuck in reboot purgatory were finally given the green light to be resumed, 1978 invented the slasher genre, it was the first movie in the genre, 2018 brought it back,cuz with a few exceptions they're really weren't too many rated r old school slasher movies, there's been a few since all using the same formula of resurrect the past one last time, and it's been working for all of them, yeah it had more than the expected amount of callbacks to movies that according to the timeline never happened, but id rather have Halloween at the forefront again try to be different while also bringing in fans that white zombie and Busta chan, completely drove away and to do that you kind of have to get younger fans up to speed, im 25, and grew up idolozing Michael since i was 4 or 5, I'm a fanatic (Spending 200 on the original capt kirk mask, from Trick R Treat studios, who make the actual masks for every movie since 3, and the only company allowed to use Shatners likeness outside of Star Trek Masks) but most people my age arent fanatics & don't have the attention to sit through a movie made in 1978 because it's too old for their ass, so callback city

I actually really love halloween 4 and 5. 6 definitely had elements in it that I personally enjoyed, but I can understand the hate it gets. The Busta rhymes one was fucking awful. The new one was just ok. It just had too many callback fan service scenes to me.

Sorry but I personally love Halloween 2 and think it's a great follow-up to the original, I even prefer Halloween 2 to the original, you talk about how it seem like it was trying to be a comedy when the first movie also had a lot of comedy as well, I know there are people out there who believe that when a killer has no motive and just kills it's more scary, but I've always been a curious person and I actually want to know more about the backstory of a character, I find it more creepy that Michael and Laurie are related because your sibling trying to kill you

A masked man.....a figure.....a shape even. I agree about Halloween II. It's a faithful continuation of the STORY,which is clearly what people tend to focus on. But the shift in tone,pacing,and aesthetic is noticeably incongruous with that established in the original film. I ALSO agree that Halloween 4 is vastly superior to the second film.

Anything that erases Halloween 3 from existence is fine by me. I 😉🤣
