Far more terrifying than any of the horror movies I’ve ever seen.

I’ve watched this movie over 20 times and will admit that I cry every time I get to the church scene. Its my favorite film of all time.

This is one of my favourite movies. I don't think there's really anyone aiming gun at Lucas in the end scene, I think it's his imagination. This indicates that even though he's innocent, he fears people of the community still might want to harm him. He doesn't trust them.

I watched this movie a couple of times and when it gets to the dog scene I start to cry through the rest of the movie. Mads performance is so believable is scary.

I saw the coming attraction for this movie years ago and I've never wanted so bad to see a film. The way you talk about one of my favorite movies is so comforting and it makes me happy a good handful of people still remembers this masterpiece exists.

I can’t overstate how important victims opening up is, however with current tendency to believe the victim on their word alone scares the hell out of me, the fact you could end on bad terms with a toxic ex and they could try to essentially ruin your life with you having little more than you word to defend you is honestly gut wrenching. Or the fact I could see this story playing out so easily also a life ruined by a wild imagination and jealousy.

One thing I would never be able to do is forgive after something like that.

Very very great review man. I love this movie so much. Although its not a horror movie, The Hunt is far scarier than most horror movies I've ever seen. And this kind of situation could be happen in real life

I think the ending is all his imagination. He is clearly paranoid of those around him. He realizes that everyone turned on him. So now after a year he is paranoid. He always felt “being hunted” even in the last scene. Being hunted on something that isn’t there or true. Idk maybe I’m just overthinking

This movie was so powerful, well acted and well directed that I actually hated the little girl's character even more than the adults.

This movie was ahead of its time. This sorta thing happens every day with cancel culture. You are guilty until proven innocent.

And people wonder why there's so few male kindergarden teachers.

I watched the film and wanted to hate the other adults and Klara, but after some consideration, you simply can't. The adults are just trying to protect their children, and Klara is just naive and unaware of the consequences.

Whoever said kids dont lie clearly hasnt met my niece. Kids lie all the damn time.

Although it's based on a true story of events, the story doesn't represent any real life person or a character specifically....... So the director should have ended it differently like an happy ending... I was so disappointed after watching 😔 this movie.....But in fact this is how our society is. Imo, in the last scene it was his own son trying to shoot at the deer but missed and ran to catch it. It resembles that you can get hurt by the people you know the most "unintentionally". Also remember that if the person wanted to kill Lucas, he would have shot him when he was down and missed the shot.

After watching this movie my hatred toward children had grown even more.

What if I tell you he actually did it? If someone is interested, i can give some other evidences, but here are the majors: 1. He didn't know which kid the teacher was talking about until she told him, which was kinda obvious it was klara and he didn't mentioned she kissed him, gave him letters or anything; 2. He used to also abuse her brother. You can see it everytime they meet, specially on that christmas scene that he cries talking to her, as if he is sorry that it happened to her either. In the beginning, lucas tells klara he used to be a teacher in her brothers school; 3. Still about the brother, the scene they are celebrating marcus's hunting license, the brother is shown purposedly frame under a deer's antlers, showing he is the 'pray' and Lucas the 'predator'. He is the one who shot lucas and purposedly missed, showing him he knows who he is and he won't let it happen any longer; 4. The basement the kids talk about is actually on marcus's rich godfather house, which probably was envolved in all the abuses. I believe on the last interaction between klara and lucas, she is framed perfectly centered in the basement's door; 5. Klara never said she lied; I'm brazilian and some subtitles are translated to her saying she lied, but apparently in danish she said something related to 'I said wrong things'; 6. Above all, it always bothered me his lack of self defense. His expression were ambiguous through the whole film, potentialized by mikkelsen's stunning performance. Basically Vintenberg trolled us all. I recommend everyone to watch it again with that different perspective. Everything makes even more sense. This movie is truly a piece of art.
