I actually think that this is a pretty interesting concept. If they had leaned more into the pokemon and actual pokemon battles I think it could have been something really cool. Maybe if the pokemon didn't have to be inside of the little crystals but that the crystal was a catalyst for the fusion. And also maybe if it had required that the trainer and pokemon had a close bond in order to able to do the fusion. So they could have introduced the main character with a non-legendary pokemon that he had grown up with and was now their partner pokemon that he was able to fuse with. It would have given the story some cool moments whern their partner evolved and we got to see their fusion get an upgrade then too. And the mc could have added more pokemon to their team, eventually built a bond with them and then been able to fuse with those pokemon as well. I think it would have made the story much more dynamic.

I went to high-school with a weird Pokémon. Kid he was actually pretty cool in art class we all had to pose as models he drew everyone as Pokémon/human hybrids they were so cool

This was one of the most crazy pokemon manga that I had ever read. Well the concept of having half Human and Pokemon is pretty interesting, but honestly I am not sure if the global audience is ready to see Ash and Pikachu fusion in the anime. Maybe this idea gimmick could return in the future generation, since Lusamine fusion with Nihilego was pretty fun to fight in Pokemon Sun/Moon. Ps. I highly recommend reading this manga if you want to see how crazy Pokemon story can get.

Would love this concept if it went for a more Kamen rider/Monster hunter direction where the fusion is more like armour and allowing the user to use the abilities of the Pokemon instead of well...this. Does have some good fanservice though ngl 😂😅

Unironically doesn't look that bad, just doesn't feel like a pokemon installation.

I think the concept could work well, but some changes needed/reasons people probably hated it: - have pokémon more involved in the story, especially legendaries. - better world building & reasoning. - more character lore & arcs. - reference the rest of the franchise. - explore themes, especially the Unovan ones. I honestly like most designs and the idea behind it, but it just needed to actually utilize its IP and expand its own world.

I forgot this manga existed ! I remember hearing about it on Bulbapedia back in the Gen V era but didn’t think too much of it other than how much of a whacky idea it was . Glad to see someone covering it at last ! Keep up the good work !

This is by far the most known controversial piece of Pokémon media yet the most unknownn since 99.77% of those who speak of it, speak ill since they never actually read it and find the concept baffling and mind-boggling. I don't, never did, always waiting for Shounen Sunday to drop to read the translate scans provided by Singapore at the time. Unova might have their Elemental Gems in the BW games, yet dare I say that this is the defacto hidden gem of Generation 5. As a fan of RéBurst, thank you so much for bringing (the compass of) light into the matter. PiPiPi Magical Journey is great as well, not to mention the How I Became a Pokémon Card short story illustrations and even the manga versions of anime movie and Scholastic light novels. Keep up the amazing work.

So uh… I remember finding out about ReBurst for the first time from a video talking about Ash-Greninja and I thought the concept of a Pokémon Fusing with a Human to be super interesting! That’s how I started to do Pokémon-Human Fusions of my own! ( I apologize for the self-promotion )

Burst as a concept is such a cool idea. It's not everyday to see Pokemon heroes transforming into Burst Warriors by fusing their Pokemon is a pausy idea! I wish Pokemon should've expanded potential gimmicks by taking notes from Digimon, Tokusatsu and other franchises instead of being, u know, a generic Monster Collecting franchise being stagnant for many years. I wish it would have been expanded that concept instead of just a forgettable fanservice that Pokemon ReBurst manga lately. So what if the Burst concept is expanded upon: - What if Burst Hearts are used as transformation trinkets akin Kamen Rider/Super Sentai/Ultraman and other Tokusatsu series and used on transformation devices such as belts, braces, lockets, weapons etc to gain upgraded and power up forms? I guess the concept would be named as "Shin Burst Forms" and can accessed by either magical, technological or even both. - What if Burst Warriors can go Mega/Gigantamax/Terastal/Battle Bonds form kinda like Ultimate Aliens, Omni Kix and Omni Enhanced forms from Ben 10 Ultimate Alien & Reboot? Also, they can perform Z-Moves while in Burst Form. I'll name the stage as "Gimmick Burst Forms". - What if Burst gimmick can evolve to next level by becoming a new Pokemon like Biomerge from Digimon Tamers? For example if Roy and Skeledirge merge together to form a new fusion Pokemon named Vivardirge, Ash and Pikachu become Thorchu, Gladion and Silvally become Goldeity, Marnie and Grimmsnarl become Horrogre etc. I'll name the powerful stage of Burst Form as "Ultimate Burst Forms". - I wish there would be anime for potential re-adaptation loosely based on Pokemon ReBurst and fix the wrongs of the manga, hoping the concept would be loved again.

I did like the whole Pokemon human fusion thing. Just think about playing a game when you fuse your girl or boy character with a Pokemon of choice and fight with your own hands. And the design can change depending on your drip🤩👍

I think it's interesting that they would make this. Pokemon has always been so light hearted, so to see pokemon like this is pretty wild. But it's a shame they were barely in it and it basically failed. But an interesting direction on the pokemon world. Thank you for the upload, I never heard of this till now. The point of the series was to take the humans off the sidelines and put them right in the middle of battle. A cool idea of that i want to see more of.

A interesting universe. Readed a bit about. It by many is said be one of those "interesting idea, but needs better execution." The big bad of that universe probably could of been a big threat. Until he went to the main universes (hint: A certain Capital G-O-D would send him the same lesson that Dark Team Rocket got. The "your dead" lesson. The "main universes are not yours" lesson. And "Main series anime Ash ketchum is not your infinity ultron." Lesson.

No joke, the only reason I know Reburst exists is because I read a black/white pokemon fanfic using the concept. (On AO3, of course.) It was pretty good, so I wonder how the source material is like.

What!!? I didn’t know this was a thing to begin with, I can understand where the controversy and hate from but the way the Japanese fans summarized the manga in that degree then that’s a big yikes to me. The concept may seem good on paper but my goodness, the execution is horrible because at this point, it’s really unfortunate to even get a bad reputation like this, I had no idea what the Mangaka writers were thinking entirely like c’mon, I feel like the biggest problem was the overall direction alongside the writing in my opinion because I felt it would of benefited more in a direction that’s similar to Kamen Rider or even Monster Hunter, no wonder it got a lot of hate and controversy, lol!!! 🤡☠️🤣🤣
