Ian Yoder ehh get over it. The ultramarines are one of the most tactically flexible chapters, and their primarch was one if not the most strategically brilliant individual in all of 40k.

They held off multiple Chapters with a mix of sheer strategic advantage forcing their opponents to flee with no shots fired or they used non-lethal weapons to subdue Astartes and the Guard and probably naval elements. Even with their curse there’s not really any Chapter that can lay claim to such incredible skill.

If I ever get into painting models again, I think I'll make a bunch of Lamenters. Their story is so noble, and their luck sounds as bad as my own. Instant fan favorite.

Vocals for it are shit. That’s the problem with stringstorm, there’s a handful of good songs in what he has done but the overwhelming majority have shit vocals as if he keeps giving prime singing roles to his overeager teenage nephews and nieces. It tends to be particularly bad for astartes themed songs who one would imagine have deep voices full of gravitas which most people can’t pull off normally, let alone when singing.

If the Major does the Minotaurs though, I would enjoy seeing his take on their lore and mystery. Currently this is where i sit with them but GW has been so vague who knows haha. This is what i subscribe myself to out of everything out there. 1. Asterion Moloc is the same Asterion Moloc documented since their return because all accounts of him show the many wounds and cybernetics he has taken over the years. 2. Asterion Moloc is not a passed down name in the chapter. 3. Asterion Moloc is not the first space marine to just be hella durable and to stubborn to die. Look at Cortez from the Crimson Fists chapter. 4. The Minotaur's gene seed is already assumed to be chimeric. Which is not abnormal. There are other chapters or space marines with chimeric gene seeds but due to the level of restrictions on what is in it, i believe it is mixed from two traitor legion primarchs. 5. Given the nature of how the Minotaur's act in siege warfare, strategy, no mercy, prone to aggression, and paranoia over security, id wager those two primarchs are Angron and Perturabo. 6. Given Asterion Moloc's weaponry, durability, and the fact the chapter answers pretty exclusively to the high lords of terra, im willing to bet he is a Custodian. This lines up with when they reemerged and were "refounded" a Custodian was on the council of the high lords of terra. So it lends a bit of credence to one being put in place to head up a chapter that answers to the high lords of terra without question and even the inquisition cant touch.
