Hey Lisa! I am so sorry to hear about your recent health problems. As you might already know, those words, and many others we might have heard in our lives by people who emotionally abandoned us, create trauma and micro trauma. These are real wounds in our brain, and this trauma comes back as a reaction in our life until we heal that wound. I now know I have struggled through these micro trauma wounds in life, and have emotional dysregulation episodes whenever these are triggered. Dr. Ramani Durvasula explains this in a genius video, why people who endure chronic emotional abuse end up with chronic degenerative ailments, migraines and many others in the long term, including cancer and MS. It was hard for me to know this, but that explained my conditions a lot more than any doctor ever could. Realizing we need to heal that 'inner child' inside our brain, that got wounded by traumatic experiences, I have now started to focus on re-parenting my inner child. We need to address, heal, and change that inner voice, that tells us 'i am not enough' to 'i have always been enough'. Incidentally after my ex husband left exactly a year ago, I got myself a steel ring engraved with the words, 'I AM ENOUGH'. It was just my subconscious rebeling against that cruel inner voice that took after my ex husband's words. This has led me to realize it's time for me to address that voice and have a rational discussion. :) Sharing this for you and everyone else to consider as well. Much love. Take care! You are awesome!!
