Thank you, Lisa. I am now walking through the process as my wife handed me divorce papers the day after Thanksgiving. I am still walking in unbelief that it got to this point and I am trying to make sense of everything.

Mine left me this January 1st and I was served 11 days later. I know what it's like to walk in a daze trying to understand it all. It's been almost 8 months for me and sometimes I feel just like the day he told me.

@@rebeccapope3295 I am so sorry. Yes, it is so devastating. The marriage covenant was never meant to be broken. A year and a half later after my divorce and I have healed significantly thanks to immersing myself in God, surrounding myself with brothers in Christ and making the decision to not only totally forgive my ex-wife but to even pray for her. But I have moved on and found new love.

Excellent! thank you for this:) a great reminder and a refresher. The oyster is such a good example I will def remember. I love the part about in order to release the feelings / hurt, you have to feel them first. For me, I chose not to just cry out the hurt & pain in my pillow because It will only take my tears and leave me high and dry. where in Jesus, He has brought me healing. every time I have those moments, I ask him to heal my heart and each day I find him doing just that. I send up my prayers and He sends down healing, strength, peace, and love.
