Today's vlog: We wonder what happens under water during the night. Marjolein doesn't really feel like going into the water in the dark, but together we jump into the deep :)
On the 17th of April 2020 we left marina Port Ghalib in Egypt, heading south towards Sudan and Djibouti and finally Maldives. We will take it easy, enjoy the beautiful reefs of the red sea and keep an eye on the corona regulations of the ports we pass. Since many countries are closed we don't know where we will be allowed to go on land again, but we can survive 4 month without seeing anybody :)
This journey is only a small part of our trip that started 2 years ago. We got the sailing- skills on our friends yacht 'Shalom' when we joined them on a trip from the Netherlands to Spain. / @sailingshalom . In Spain we decided to go with our own boat, and in no time we were the happy owners of 'Messenger'. We left may 2018 and started vlogging from the beginning, we made 15 minute video's of our adventures, the nature and the many special people we met. We cooperated with OM to visit their projects and film them on our way. Since 19 of March we started with a daily vlog due to the corona situation. We plan to keep doing this the coming months.

Nice that you did it anyway, so you can reduce fears. I used to be afraid of swimming across dark spots in the water during the day. Later we snorkeled many years at night and for a few years we prefer to dive at night. In any case, it would be better and safer if everyone had a lamp. We are looking forward to the next video.

Wow, that's a big improvement! We had a weak 2nd light, just in case the other one stopped, so we could at least quickly get back to the boat 😁 and we did not go far away

Wow you guys are so brave! I was always so scared to go into the water at night when we went camping. Never know what's down there. Thank you for showing us!

Haha, yes that's a weird feeling indeed. But sometimes it is good to stretch yourselve a little bit😊

😂😂😂 jullie worden ook met de dag gekker. Maar toch mooi dat jullie dit ook laten zien. Marjolein toch mooi dat jij ook bent mee gegaan (was toch jouw idee 🙈🙈) En wat is het donker daar,denk dat je daar nu ook erg mooi de sterren kan zien

Haha ja was echt een dom idee 😜 maar ja dan moet je wel he :) ja gisteravond sterren zitten kijken, voordat de maan opkomt is het echt superdonker!

@@sailingmessenger8125 we zijn echt jaloers op jullie. Heerlijk die vrijheid genieten van de natuur en alles eromheen. Wij moeten nog een paar jaar wachten😥 voordat wij dit ook kunnen gaan doen 😃

@@sailingmessenger8125 helaas wel we hebben nog 2 jongens van 12 en 10 en Cora heeft nog nooit gezeild dus dat gaan we eerst doen deze of volgend jaar Leg jullie privé wel een keertje uit hoe het precies zit Maar we hopen tussen 8 en 10 jaar

Thats either completely crazy or extremely brave but either way it was great viewing. You need a torch each or a massive spotlight lol What is the water temperature?

Haha we did have a second torch that was very weak but we only took it in case the other would stop :) and we made a small route just within 100 meters of the boat 😊

Ah about the watertemperature we did not know. But we looked it up and it's 24.7 they say.

haha i was a little bit nervous as well :) but i think that was clearly visible when i got into the water ;p

Hoi Herman en Marjolein jullie up en downloaden toch elke dag aardig wat MB het verbaasd mij dat jullie zo’n goed ontvangst hebben. Hallen jullie dat allemaal binnen met je telefoon als hotspot of doen jullie dat anders
