Don’t get any issues with the healtech servo eliminator. The servo performs a self test on startup and can actually determine whether cable system is present and operating (resistance felt in cable operation), the servo buddy mimics this tension. Without this you can get fault codes appearing

I have a 2008 Honda cbr1000rr. Took the stock exhaust off and slipped on a race fit. No servo buddy, no engine light turn on. Runs just as good…..just a lot louder🤭

Cant speak for hondas but they certainly work for Ducati and most things euro 5 and help a lot. You making the generalization baised off one thing a friend of yours has experienced. Thats what i would call non actionable intelligence. 1 instance does not prove anything.

Came here to say the same thing. Removed the servo motor on my 2020 R1 and installed a servo buddy. Made sure I installed correctly AND followed all other directions (things like don't turn the bike on once you begin removing the servo motor until you have the buddy and O2 sensor hooked back up) and it worked perfectly fine for me. 10k miles later, no issues. Friend either did something wrong or maybe they just got a defective product.

Going to test this theory in 40 min I have engine light did not buy servo yet I will comment back in about a hour

It doesn't work that way. When I installed it on my R1, the directions stated once I began the process I could not turn the bike on until I completed it. Otherwise the check engine light will come on and stay on, regardless of me plugging it in after.
