In this video I travel to Melbourne for PAX Australia, play a game of Warhammer's forgotten game WARMASTER, and paint up some tiny 10mm Old World miniatures.

I'd love to see a High Elf Warmaster army. Your High Elf in this video is just perfect execution of the old-school High Elf scheme. It would look fantastic on a whole 10mm army.

I also used to drool over the warmaster battle reports in white dwarfs around the early 2000s. Seeing those huge ranked up blobs with dragons and chariots was a true outlet for the imagination. Great job on the painting, slap chop really does look like the perfect way to paint this scale.

Warmaster is excellent! Get an army for £100 and then you get everything else free and the game really captures that large battlefield feel for me

Tyrion came out great. Warmaster always frustrated me, I could never understand the strategy and kept getting hosed

That was fun, nice work on those tiny figures. I really enjoy the smaller scale figs, and also it's a great palette cleanser for painting 28mm scale!

Cool video mate and thanks for the guide on how to paint this! But the STL's for all the models you painted in the video are from Forest Dragon... Working now on my Vampire counts army for Warmaster/KOW 10mm scale :)

They look great. As I am interested in WMR as well, I wonder how much time you would dedicate to the stands ( about 10 - 20 Minis per Stand )....I have painted mainly 28/32mm but also 1:100 ( Flames of War German Camo) as well as 1/72 historicals...but always single models, no stands...keep up the good work abd have fun with warmaster (Revolution, I assume). Stefan

What an awesome effort on these guys, especially the gems on the high elf! I hope you found the smaller scale a fun and fresh experience, would be very cool to see more Warmaster hobby content on the channel. Perhaps our next game can be played with a new army of your own? ;)

I have often thought that if high elves invested more of their wealth into heavy armor instead of gems, their spearmen and archers wouldn't die so much hehe

There is a high chance you already know this, but I still wanna help :) Are you brushing off your drybrush-colours on a paper towel? Because I learned that that draws moisture from the paint and that increases risk of the dusty look.

What kind of brushes do you recommend for these small miniatures? It’s been a really long time since painting Warmaster (probably about 2001)

I used some cheaper size 00 from my local hobby shop but for those super fine details grab an army painter Precise Detail Brush. It’s my go to! I hope that helps 🍻
