This is a masterpiece. Happy you are talking about non-Japanese VNs, I found the community (on Reddit recently) incredibly hateful towards non-Japanese VNs.

Yeah, it's definitely a sentiment I run into a lot in the VN community, which is a bummer since myself and a number of my friends have made OELVNs xD So it was definitely nice to see some pop up on this channel and I'm hoping we get to see more.

@PollyPlushie yep. It is what it is. Those I spoke with simply prefer having the usual Japanese girls to route for. I read half and half. Both non-Japanese and Japanese. I find more common ground on English-based ones as the main character's train of thought is more similar to my culture.

Western vns glorify vn parodies so much that those parodies became the norm. I can understand the hate

Oh. R/Visualnovels, I hate that subreddit. Just because of their discrimination, the majority of them. Currently in r/vn but whenever I check on it, it is pretty chill. It is also run by Fuwanovel. Not entirely sure on chill they are, since I rarely check on it.

I just finished this about an hour ago. If you haven't played it, go spend literally $1 and a few minutes. It's worth it. It was genuinely really unsettling. I could relate to some of what she was going through. I have been known to practice conversations. With these sorts of denpa games, it seems like it's always the little details that ground them which makes them have emotional impact. I felt her need to get her footsteps in the right spot. I'm really glad I gave it a go, partly because I saw this review. Thank you.

The most interesting fact about this novel is that it perfectly depicts how you buy groceries in post-USSR countries.

Thanks a lot for the video! One thing - the game was originally written in Russian language and everyone involved in development are Russian as well.

I see, gotcha! Most of my videos are based on Eastern Japanese visual novels (JVNs), so I chose the "English" title to title-represent non-Japanese Visual Novels (OEVNs) to differentiate. I'll make a correction!

This one's definitely an entire damn MOOD. I enjoyed it though. It's a really interesting artistic look into the VERY SPECIFIC things it's conveying. Probably not for everybody but as a cool little piece of art, I dug it.

Yeah this game isn't for me for sure. But I can respect the artistic and narrative direction. Impressed what it did in such a short amount of time

@@TheAugustHail Curious if you have any other OELVNs on your radar with having checked out this one and Class of '09 recently? Queen Beast may be something a little more up your alley if you're into 90's OVA aesthetic, humor, and stories. (And it's TOTALLY free!)

happy to see this here! i first found it while browsing random steam user pages and saw someone left a review on their profile that just said "milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk..." and so on. it interested me enough to check it out myself and ever since then ive been shilling it to anyone who will listen lol
