This was not Miss Ross's first time hosting a show. When she was with the Supremes she hosted the Hollywood Place twice. She would do the opening song with the Supremes and then dismiss both Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong off the stage while she hosted the rest of the hour long Hollywood Palace by herself.

She was in peak form here in every way! The voice, the fashion, The Boss album, she was literally jogging with energy, lol. I can't relate to much of anything that's popular today with modern pop culture: these days people confuse simply wearing designer everything with being posh or sophisticated, and entertainment in general holds up vulgarity as the standard to reach for. I miss these days when we had such class acts as entertainers, and am hoping that one day we'll see elegance return.

Diana Ross -- Ms. Ross has a career unmatched by anyone ... it's odd to me how people in their 30s combatively seem to be clueless as if female music only stated only started a few years ago. Why should she be expected to compete with people young enough to be her grandchildren? She should NOT! Diana Ross has done it all and was at the top of her game and opened doors for those that came after her. Ms. Ross is still doing amazing things year after year-- that other artists only wish they could do.

Some people have commented that they were embarrassed for Lynda Carter (singing and hamming it up). I can understand how they feel. But, as a kid, I used to see her singing on her TV specials, guest starring spots, and the Muppet Show. She would always sing "Rubberband Man." As a kid watching, I wasn't aware of her corniness....and as an adult watching this for the first time since it first aired---I'm kinda okay with it. It's the Lynda Carter I remember.

She would have done better with Florence and Mary doing back ground. That sound with all 3 of them is classic.. all 3 of them singing on the boss ....

I'm a little embarrassed for Lynda Carter singing that way in front of Diana Ross. It's corny.

I saw Lynda's cabaret show eight years ago. She sang Baby Love and talked about this appearance, calling Diana her girlfriend. Yes, she is very hammy when she sings.

, @Jacklynn Jackson,Has no one ever heard of foundation, she's in her 70's now and she loves makeup, but check the pics of her when she is out grocery shopping because she never wears makeup when she isn't performing, plus I use glycolic acid on my skin because it evens out my skin and makes me ahalf shade lighter. Plus lighting is so different now they don't just light for white people anymore.

Linda Carter is so gorgeous have no idea why she was in such a pedestrian outfit. Almost a ladies casual lunch outfit. Her singing career never got past pageant novelty level, sort of where Suzanne Somers went too. Diana looked great in red and diamonds but was visibly nervous.

If she did not NEED those two behind her, why does she always have at least three singers on stage with her when she does a concert? At one point she had the Jones Girls positioned upstage to sing with her while she was on tour. Now she has five singers singing with her on stage. What was the point of getting rid of Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard and then Cindy Birdsong if she needed to have at least three singers to replace them on stage? @@dddddadadad1796
