I don't believe it, Halloween resurrection is the worst by far. Anytime there is resurrection in title, it kills the franchise.

The only part that was really bad about this movie was the mob chasing the other guy through the hospital. Everything else was OK to badass. Michael is a monster without blatantly being said to be super natural in the movie and I like that.

Halloween kills is nowhere near the bottom I didn’t love it but it’s better than resurrection and H2 rob zombie .

Say what you will about Halloween Kills... You have to at least give it credit for trying to say something about mob mentality albeit flawed in its execution... I'll always respect ambition over sticking to formula...

What I got from Halloween Kills is Michael Myers is a monster and his actions created monsters, when the town became a gigantic lynch mob.

Imo, how stupid the town gets absolutely crosses the suspension of disbelief, especially since a lot of them knew what Michael looked like. So a lot of the movie falls under the "Dumb characters making dumb decisions" issue. Like you don't need any logical motivation for Michael, but you do for character's decisions. And when you don't, the plot just completely falls apart, and becomes more laughable than anything.

The worst movie in the Halloween franchise is still Halloween: Resurrection.

I absolutely loved Halloween Kills. I love how developed the movie was, I love how big the presence of Michael Myers affects Haddonfield. The simple mention of his name causes fear, chaos & destruction. His story and legacy has so much power and his lust for blood makes him even more terrifying. Everyone that interacts from Myers doesn’t survive. Even the “survivors”. He always left them scared and traumatized for life. Kills is a 10/10 Movie for me

I feel like I cannot judge the movie in full until I see the whole Quadrilogy after Ends. Right now, Halloween Kills imo is neither good nor bad. It's just painfully mediocre. 5/10 from me. I still take Kills over Halloween 5, Halloween 6, Halloween: Resurrection and the two Rob Zombies Remakes which are far, far worse installments in the Franchise.

I wasn’t huge on 2018 or Kills. Thought they were decent and yeah, nowhere near as bad as 5, Curse or Resurrection.

The dialogue in this was hella pretentious. Couldn’t stand it. Anything to do with Michael Myers was awesome though. If this movie did anything for me it was make me appreciate how good the 2018 film was. That movie had its share of bad dialogue but nowhere near as bad as Halloween Kills. The dialogue in Kills really goes to show you that Hollywood thinks we’re all a bunch of simple morons.

I enjoy Halloween Kills and I don't think it's the worst, but it does suffer from issues that hold this back from being great: - The message of mob mentality was heavy-handed. Funny enough, this isn't the first time the series tackled the subject. Halloween 2 and 4 did the same, but did it better. - Pointless cameos like Marion Chambers and Sheriff Brackett. - Haddonfield suddenly wants Michael's head, even though they pretty much forgotten about him over the last four decades in the last movie. - The second mental patient plotline was pointless. - Everyone suddenly talking like Dr. Loomis when they haven't had much experience with Michael. - Tommy was too over-the-top. - Lonnie shouldn't be traumatized by Michael. Last time I checked, Michael didn't break into his house and tried to kill his babysitter.

Yeah this was definitely one of the worst ones imo. There were great scenes imo, like the crowd scene in the hospital when they were all going after the wrong guy. I thought that was intense, but it felt out of place in a Michael Myers movie. To me Michael Myers was never about how brutally he murdered people, it’s that he just did it and that he went after one person and no one could stop him. He was just evil, the exaggerated death scenes were so over the top it was too much. You’d expect it from modern movies maybe or Nightmare on Elm Street or a parody movie, but this was so off. There weren’t even that many deaths in the original Halloween movie. It’s been almost 45 years since the original movie came out though. Maybe they think no one wants the same old silent stalking killer? I thought that’s what made Myers scary in the first place though

If you don't like Halloween Kills think of it as a comedy and it becomes the best installment in the series.

I did not enjoy this one... there were admittedly some good moments like the opening retro scene, and the firefighter scene looked badass, but every character in this movie was way to fucking dumb and I just kept questioning why everyone kept making poor decisions. I loved the 2018 version, and was excited for this sequel but was just let down at the end of this movie experience.

The problem with kills in my opinion was that the makers listened to the fans too much. All of the problems that the people were complaining about in the 2018 movie were addressed in Kills and they all kind of made it weaker than stronger. People hated that he wasn’t fully supernatural and now he is. People hated that he had such a small kill count. Now he kills everything in site. It’s like the people who insist that everything must be shown instead of telling, then complain when they show too much. Michael in the original movie that everyone praises was all about tell. Not show. That’s why Loomis worked as his hype man. He kept telling everyone how evil Michael was giving him the reputation of the boogeyman. From part 2 on they had to emphasize how powerful he was and explain away his origins and give him his motives. All of his mystique was gone. My point in saying that is that horror fans are some of the hardest movie goers to please in that we all think we know what we want, but when we get it we’re not always pleased with the result. What I loved about the 2018 movie was that Michael was more or less a clean slate again. He was a force of nature like a tornado. He may touch down and kill everyone in your house, or he might skip your house completely and ruin everyone’s life 6 doors down. I feel like now there are elements of Thorne going on. When I first heard the whole “The more he kills, the more he transcends” thing I brushed it off as a euphemism. I didn’t expect them to take it literally. That makes him weaker as an antagonist but I suppose stronger as a “Slasher Villain”. Now he’s kind of like Jason only without a motive.

I actually initially disliked HALLOWEEN KILLS. I then watched it again and rather liked it. It was a good entry to HALLOWEEN. I think history will look back on this as good.

I do agree that the entire town of Haddonfield having a collective freakout was a little excessive. But I did like the direction that this film took in illustrating how Michael Myers has deeply affected Haddonfield’s citizens. Like everything else, there’s some great concepts but they were either underdeveloped or poorly executed.

I think it was a good movie for what we had but I wish we could of had more flashbacks and more cameos from the franchise like Ll Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Tom Atkins, and Danielle Harris to honor the old movies lol idk something cool like that as comedic Relief and Maybe Paul Rudd as Tommy's brother.

Lonnie Elam was my favourite returning character. Especially because you never really spend any time with his character in the original movie outside of 2 very short scenes with not a lot of dialogue. And I thought it was a really cool detail when you realise that in the first movie he was only bullying Tommy because he himself was being bullied by the Mulaneys. Also, I felt like Robert Longstreet was the best actor of the returning character, I don't know why but he just felt real. RIP Lonnie Elam. Next time I go to a river I'll take peyote with me, get freaked out by my own reflection, take my pants off and jump in. Just to honor Lonnie and Ray. Am I crazy?? Or did you not do a video for Halloween Ends?? I tried to find one but couldn't. DYING to know your thoughts on that one.

Couldn't agree more. If you think this is the worst Halloween Sequel or even one of the top 3 worst sequels I suggest you rewatch the entire franchise and be true with your opinions. When it was first rumoured that we would get flashbacks to when Dr. Loomis Shot him 7 (Not 6) it's the Han shot first of the Halloween. I was against it as to me Halloween 1978's ending is the greatest ending in Slasher and full horror movie history which the orginal H 2 even does a pretty good job of following up. But they actually brought a believable Dr. Loomis back to life so I was cool with it. This movie had its moments I disliked but ultimately it's still a strong sequel and middle film in this trilogy. When the Citizens formed a lyncy mob "Evil Dies tonight" and they actually get him dowm. I was jumping out of my seat especially when Sheriff Bracket who has had evil incarnate on his mind for 40 years and I hope in this timeline he doesn't blame Loomis but rather regreta not taking it as seriously earlier. When he called Michael out. My favourite sequel is still H4 but that's how I wish the beer belly lynch mob had been used in that movie. To actually at least try and take him on up close. We know Haddonfield before Michael Myers was a safe family neighborhood. I got goosebumps when they handed togeher. Another great video Vee. Thanks 👌

If we are talking about kills.,... then no both resserution, curse and the rob zombie's movies are worse... however halloween kills still really isn't that good to be begin with, alot of small problems that end up being big problems, kills is fun but its pretty bland overall and depending how ends is could either be better or worse after that film releases

1:21 - 1:39 Kind of do agree on this part a bit. There was a quote by Martin Scorsese, in which he said, "Movies/Cinema is a matter of what's in the frame and what's not.". I never understood it at first, but after watch of few his favorite movies where he got this quote from now I do. It means that what you choose to not show, is as important as what you do. So some of the scene in the movie should have been removed to have us, the audience put together what Michael's next plan will be, without showing it, but still leaving a few clues.

This movie was made for one group of people the fans, if your not a true fan of not just Halloween but Michael Myers than you probably won't like the movie but for me it hits every point the fans wanted out of another sequel and I am actually looking forward to the next one

Halloween Kills served its purpose for me which was to just set up the 3rd movie. People criticize the acting but the acting in the entire franchise ranges from cheesy to bad for the most part, it’s never been a strong part of the franchise. The only thing I disliked was the hospital scenes with the mental patient. I get the message they were trying to convey but it just felt so unnecessary. Other than that the movie served its purpose.

I am happy to have a reviewer who likes this movie!! I thought that i was in the minority who likes it besides I have watched worse Halloween Sequels and this wasnt that bad and i still enjoy watching this movie!!

Personally, Kills is in my top three BEST Halloween films. Is it perfect? No. None of them have been. Is it a damn good time? Yes indeed.

The reason I feel that the whole Micheal didnt care about Laurie and its just about killing for the sake of killing is that it makes it difficult to understand why he would stop killing for any reason by the logic the movie lays out he should have just kept killing until he was finally killed in his original rampage.If all he cares about is killing then it makes literally no sense why he would allow himself to be arrested. I personally feel like the he thing that allows you to suspend your disbelief about all that he is able to survive is that there is some unseen/unknown force driving him to a goal we don't understand when you just turn that to he's just some tall geriatric who loves killing while wearing a mask it makes it unacceptable in the mind that he's even able to survive the smoke inhalation in the beginning and thats why i feel so many people disliked this movie. When you make your immortal killer just some guy it pulls people out of the movie

Despite liking a few bits, I found this film very dumb and worse boring.

I rank the worst 5 as the following: 1. Curse 2. Resurrection 3. Rob Zombie Sequel 4. Revenge 5. Kills Halloween Kills is simply a mess when it comes to the legacy characters (I was expecting more for Lonnie at least instead of being idiot #34), the plot is too Sequel bait, and make it easy to mock the writing (Michael killing the mob after being brutalized while Laurie throws in random character development for Micheal that borrows from the Sequels in a lazy way).

For me, Still think it's the WORST. I know people are gonna say "What about Halloween 5, 6, Resurrection or Rob Zombie's Halloween?" Well Halloween 5 had Donald Pleasence and Danielle Harris to carry the movie, Halloween 6 had a good atmosphere, music and actor for Michael, Resurrection is a funtime to watch, and the Rob Zombie movies were so different from the prior films, this movie tries to act above the franchise and overthink the movies. The Halloween movies were simple slasher movies, that were mostly timeless. They don't try to make "USA" symbolism or Black Lives Matter politcal commentary, they were simple timeless slasher movies and that's that. And the next one is tackling Covid-19. 🙄 It's also inconsistent, tone wise. It feels like the clingy deleted scenes from the 2018 movie were kept back in the movie, with very poorly written characters and doesn't try to do anything new in the series. Haddonfield teaming up to fight Michael? Done. (Halloween 4) Jamie doing fuck all the entire movie in a hospital? Done! (Halloween II.) At least the Rob Zombie movies tried to do something different with the stories and Michael himself. This is just boring. Along with the idiotic characters I wanted all to die. I absolutely HATED Jamie Lee Curtis interview, telling how "deep" and "relevant" the movie is to today's audience. No joke, she literally compared the "Evil Dies Tonight" to "U.S.A.!!!" Riots even mentions Black Lives Matter and yet Michael CONSTANTLY kills them in the movie. Halloween was a simple slasher movie that was timeless and was more relevant without having current political things. It tries to act larger than what the movies usually are which are fun entertaining slasher movies. It made me cringe when she even said "It's a masterpiece!" 🤣. Halloween: Resurrection is horrible, but at least it's hilariously bad. This feels like it's stepping on the series and acts like "This is going to be our Aliens" only to end up as being Alien³. I have nothing good to say. No wait, the kills the are good but that's not enough to make a good slasher movie. And with Halloween Ends bringing up Covid-19 is going to be a huge blow. I lost all respect on Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter for approving this. Somebody just please leave this franchise alone until somebody comes up with a legit good script. And now Gordon Green is developing a Exorcist trilogy. Probably will compare Trump to the devil. Can't wait. If you like it, more power to you, but for me, anyone who says another "Evil Dies Tonight" can blow me.

It blows my mind that there's people saying it's one of the worst in the series like you can't be serious. 6, resurrection and Rob zombies were way worse than this. Plus I don't get what's everyone's problem with the 2018 movie. Hell I think H20 is overrated, not saying it was bad I liked it just think it's overrated. i feel like Michael Myers is so old that his kills had a formula, in H1 but in H2018 and H2021 he is just killing and moving corpses, killing and killing. but then again he drove people into madness. he broke a town before his body broke. he is a aging genius that lost the motivation to look artsy, he's loose, and no longer pulling back. BUT THE MOVIE STILL SUCKS

Every time Micheal is in the movie, I thought it was awesome. But I found the rest of the movie to slow, repetitious and pretentiously thinking it was being deeper then it actual is.

It's not just that I hate that they retconned Halloween II and Halloween 4 (two of the most watchable sequels in my opinion) it's the fact that the movie blows up the importance of a three/four-kill guy but acts like the sequels exist in-universe and that Tommy Doyle didn't ride off of "I was there..." thinking when he was in a closet the whole time after being told to hide by Laurie. "Evil dies tonight!"

Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 was the worst I think. Halloween Kills is probably in my top 5 but Halloween Ends could change my opinion. The plot was all over but kinda had to be because it’s leading to the final fight between Laurie and Michael.

I never found Michael's inexplicable immortality frightening. I've only ever been annoyed by it. And each movie increased my frustration in proportion to how much they relied on his indestructibility, how bad the movie was overall, and how long the franchise dragged on. By the time I got to the 9th or 10th movie, I was so physically angry, that I swore off the franchise for the sake of my sanity and those around me.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10, but your take is pretty interesting which is what's appealing about your movie reviews.2018 I think hit a really good balance of respectful nostalgia and new ideas that made it one of my fav movies of that year. It was just a really tight, well paced horror movie. Halloween Kills on the other hand I think had some ideas I quite liked, some scenes that really worked, and some really excellent slasher kills but as a holistic movie it feels really unfocused compared to 2018. Which imo feels like 2018's script and screenplay had years of drafts to get it just right while this movie most likely was thrown together a lot faster in the scripting and screen writing department. Which is more a condemnation of the way movies are made, than this particular movie even. Like it could also be an editing thing, like it just needed a little more time in the oven getting it right somehow. It definitely wasn't a plot thing imo, more the actual structure of the movie just felt kinda off compared to 2018. Not in a way where it's horrible, just not as good.

I liked the idea and concept. It failed in everything else. It just doesn't do anything with what it's trying to say or even do, and then it just kind of ends. It's not bad it's just boring, in many ways that much worse in my opinion. I'll take whatever Rob Zombies Holloween 2 was any day over this boring movie.

Halloween 3

I really liked Halloween Kills, it's not the best but also not the worst. But the absolute worst movie is Halloween: Resurrection, that movie was a complete joke and an insult to the fans. Then Rob Zombie's H2 comes to 2nd worst, Rob Zombie's H1 as 3rd worst and Halloween H20 as 4th worst (Unpopular opinion: H20 is a bad movie).

In the first movie, it wasn't Lonnie that Michael grabbed by the shoulders outside the school after bullying Tommy, it was Richie, right?? I was just going back and forth with someone else that did a video and they said that "Lonnie still would've been terrified by his encounter with the Shape at the school" and that's why he's got PTSD in Kills... but Lonnie had the red jacket on. It was Richie that bumped into Michael wasn't it?? or am I the one that's getting mixed up?? I was just trying to explain to the guy that it wasn't Lonnie and that I'm pretty sure it was Richie and I wasn't rude or anything whatsoever and he basically said to feel free to never visit his channel again!!! I thought this movie was terrible.

No way it’s the worst as the worst are like shitty TV movies - but I think it fails to crack the top tier list at least which was definitely a disappointment after the 2018 one is a top 3 to me. Also let’s admit it - the downer ending naturally turns off general viewers and I think that left a lot of people reaching for more complaints Maybe the third one though will help some of its choices look better
