John, I'm subbed top many content creators and I am happy to see when some of them upload content, but you are one of the very few content creators that I genuinely get excited for whenever I see a new video uploaded by you. The quality of your content, the fact that you put quality above quantity, your personality and sense of humor, the fact that you're not overly serious and you're clearly having a blast whenever you're in front of the camera, and most importantly, it's clearly evident that you are a genuine person, and I honestly feel like whenever I'm watching one of your videos, that I'm just chilling with a good friend and listening to you hilariously geek out over movies. Damn, I would almost pee myself watching the fight on the prison roof with that big cellmate with the chain! This looks promising for a pure action movie. I enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. The jokes were much wittier and better than I anticipated-- I thought that it would be Guardians of the Galaxy style jokes. David Leitch is probably my favorite modern action director. I LOVE Atomic Blonde. There is always a brain in his movie-- even in this movie's jungle of irreverence. But the runtime is god awful. I thought that it should have ended at around the time when Dwayne's character returned to his home. Everything beyond that point felt sooooooooooooo long. I just heard you make the same statement at 5:31 as I was writing this comment. You're spot on.

One thing I really love about Statham is that he's legitimately tough in real life. He's a mixed-martial-arts specialist and genuinely a bit "handy".

Hi, John Flickinger! I'm glad that you got a review of this movie so close to after when the movie was released. No matter what, it has to be tough to always perform for others. I can understand that the past year or so had to have been very tough to leave your last domicile and move to another place. I can't fault you for being a human being and wanting to take your time between videos. As a teacher, I can understand how tough it can be to keep others pumped and engaged. I'm also glad that your edge hasn't changed, even when "way back" for me was only 5 years ago. Keep up the great work and I hope to see you sometime in Korea! I promise that there is more to here than than BTS! The first energy drink or stronger is definitely on me!

Just watched it! Loved it! Loved the dynamic btwn Hobbs, Shaw & Hattie. The sister is badass. Loved when they go to Hobbs island home and all his big, strong, Samoan brothers were so cool! Family really plays a big message in the movie besides the over the top action.

I thought this movie was the F&F version of Tango & Cash. 3 actors from DEADPOOL 2 also in this movie. Did they intentionally cut out parts of the scrambled audio of "THE VOICE" so you can hear Ryan Reynolds voice?

Hobbs & Shaw was fun. I own Tango & Cash on Blu-Ray.

Throughout the entire movie The Rock demonstrates greater Feats of Strength than iljas Elba. Even though iljas is supposed to be the one that's a superhuman The Rock shows that he's more capable than the main antagonist. Let's not forget the during the fight sequences The Rock and Jason Statham are using very stereotypical punches in order to fight. You don't need to have super strength in order to stop regular punches or have super speed in order to see the punches coming, anyone with decent enough knowledge about combat would know how to stop their punches! This movie was a joke!🤣

I've only watched FATF 1&2. I may have to watch the rest just to see how gradually over the top the franchise got. I'll then watch this when it gets shown on TV. I enjoy your reviews. You're usually on the money and very fair minded when it comes to criticisms. You try not to let the failings of a movie overshadow the successful aspects if possible. That's how I try to view anything. If the positives make you forget the bad, then the movie did its job.

My one gripe is that there isn’t a single reference to the rest of the Fast & Furious universe. If this takes place in the same world you’d think they’d shoutout one or two other characters, at least in a post credits scene.

Its a spy movie/odd couple action comedy... Car guys need to get over the fact that it’s not about car culture in this movie, which I am fine with... So I loved this movie.

I just feel I should say that fast 4 does not get the recognition it deserves, I remember back in 2009 the hype of knowing that Vin Diesel was coming back for the first time in 8 years by that point, it was epic, and when they meet at the club, the cinema was loving those two reuniting, I’m sorry but I liked 4 just for the fact the original two characters got to star as main, before in turned into 5,6,7,8 with people jumping off building etc just a big mess of CGI and about 15 main characters

"Samoa" Thats the reason why The Rock has to say SAMOA many times bc people like u who always say Hawaii. If u saw the movie u would clearly see that they mention his island home of SAMOA plenty of times in the movie. They even made it in big BOLD letters lol. So idk how u can mistaken with Hawaii lol. But thanx for the review though. I loved when he goes to Samoa and the scene when all his brothers helped kicked the villains soldiers ass and the helicopter scene. The sister was so badass, loved her.
