@@theturkeysopinion and THIS is why I own a .460 Magnum for myself, but the one I own has the 8-1/2" barrel. gotta laugh at those who turns their heads towards my lane whenever I pop off shots at the range

Yes sir that's the pistol that started the addiction a big bore. You're absolutely right it kicks but it's controllable. My old lady loves it.

When I walk down to my range I will yell and tell Seminole (a horse) and show him my gun so he knows loud booms are coming 😂 he doesn’t mind as long as he know it’s coming 😂

I have yet to carry this one🤔.... maybe i need to make a suede lined holster and try it! Chrono coming soon for TC rifle and the Revolver👍 I didn't want to test people's attention span this time lol. I'll make that a separate nerd video for nerds like us🤓👊🦃👍

I'm considering this exact firearm right now. It's between this and a ruger Alaskan 454 or 44. Been going around in circles for the last month. It doesn't help that they are all so hard to find.

At least with the S&W 460, you can shoot the 454 too as well as 45LC

I looked one of these but then got my thoughts together and decided it was not practical. Fun yes interesting yes but it’s big it’s heavy no the recoil with 460 is insane. I had hunter version the muzzle flash was felt even on my face. Again fun stuff 🤣😂

I have the Smith& Wesson performance center 10 and 1/2-in barrel and I love it. I load up the 300 XTP mag in the 460 caliber and I have it going right around 1900 feet per second and that gun actually shoots like the recoil of a 44 Magnum with that long barrel 10.5 in

That’s a speedy round from a handgun. The 460 is such a cool round. Lots of energy on target with speeds and weight like that.

KZfaq / Google can now read your mind! I went to the store and bought a very uncommon caliber of ammunition. I did no research on the ammo, did not watch any videos about it, nothing. I told nobody, and I said nothing about the ammo, so my phone could not be the culprit. When I got home and opened my computer, the first recommended video on youtube was relating to this specific ammo: S&W 460 And this video, was the video advertised to me 😁

Watching this, I said damn when the 454 was fired. Said goddamn when the 460 went off. Got my blood pumping. When taking the shot single hand with the left, I admit it was like watching a horror/thriller expecting damage to the soft pallet. Nice video.

I have a 460V with a muzzle brake equipped full lug barrel and at 5 inches I can hunt with it too.

@@theturkeysopinion yep and I had TK Custom fit the cylinder for their stainless steel 45 ACP moon clips. As a bonus the 45 ACP moon clip holds to fire 460 Rowland, 45 Super and 45 Winchester magnum using Starline brass. Any semi auto cartridge based on the 45 ACP case will work. Now THAT is versatility!!!

Ive got the Ruger Alaskan 454. Id like that s&w 460 PC looks nice. Its just right for plinking 45colt small game loads and then heavy loads for the big stuff. The barrel length is perfect for having with you when in mountains in Idaho and Montana on chest holster.

I love the fact the Alaskan has a 6 round capacity and it feels much smaller than this 460. Both are awesome guns!

Smiths quality control has taken such a dive. They couldn’t keep up with the 2024’s and had to steal old designs from keltec. How the mighty has fallen. They basically been making the same revolver for the last 100 years. lol

I'm just stepping into revolvers, well sorta lol , getting wife a Taurus 692. If she doesn't like it , its mine ! If she does i have the ffl looking for another or get a tracker 4" model. Liking the versatility of multiple calibers. Tbat S&W is sweet ! Thanks for info.

SIMPLE : 5 ROUNDS OF 3, NOT 5 CALIBERS. STILL, NICE DISPLAY. .460 GIVES THAT MULTI CALIBER CHOICE. I'M PRETTY SURE, ALMOST ALL STATES REQUIRE 6 " BARREL FOR HUNTING. I NEED THAT .460 !

I think Oklahoma lifted that rule in the last year or two though I could wrong. Or they have the rule and just don’t care as long as you get the job done. Either way a snub nose wouldn’t be my go to for hunting but certainly for defense

For velocity and overall power yes, but this model could be a great carry for hiking in the woods as bear protection as the gun is smaller and lighter to carry for longer periods of time

I have a pair of 460s, and have shot 3 of them, no one should use one that does not have a ported barrel.
