Peel eggs while warm or cold?
@OnlySpiritualAwakening
@OnlySpiritualAwakening 3 жыл бұрын
Almost perfectly. I've grown up doing this and it generally works for between 96%-100% of the egg. And that usually means part of the egg comes off with the shell. Supremely annoying when that happens.
@OnlySpiritualAwakening
@OnlySpiritualAwakening 3 жыл бұрын
@@pjb9617 Generally cool the eggs down a little with cold water. You should still do it while they're warm. Crack the egg and then be gentle taking off the shell. Do it slowly and in the pieces that you see crack and you should be good to go. Also remember that going too fast can mean some of the egg will come off with the shell. So slow and steady wins the race.... Most of the time.

Tl;dr 1. Don’t go on social media first thing in the morning, do other activities first. 2. Don’t eat an unhealthy breakfast, a healthy one gives you more energy and reduces anxiety and health issues. 3. Don’t hit snooze (self explanatory) 4. Don’t complain (about how early it is, how tired you are, etc. ) 5. Don’t clean up. Do that the night before. 6. Don’t plan your day. Do that the night before to reduce stress and have a clearer plan. 7. Don’t start your day with negative news. 8. Don’t wake up at inconsistent times.

I personally find it more beneficial to plan my day in the morning. As something with chronic health conditions, my energy and productivity can change dramatically. So I spend about half an hour checking in with how I'm feeling pain-wise and work out what I can handle that day. This is not to disprove anything Thomas is saying!! It's just interesting to see our difference in logic and experience. Also shows how productivity/planning/organisation are very personal.

All of these are great tips. I used to wake up, lounge in bed, check FB, check the news. Got to work, ate a terrible breakfast, then sat at a messy desk. Now I get up when my alarm goes off, actually get out of bed, don’t check my phone (unless I have an email that looks urgent) until I’m on the bus to work, eat a good breakfast and drink a pint of water before leaving the house. I sometimes watch KZfaq while I’m getting ready but restrict it to channels I like, positive content like this or tech stuff. Setting up properly at the start of your day is so important for having a good one. Great video 😊

Amy Landino made a video like this just a few days ago and she also talked about not looking at your phone,(except for maybe the calendar app), not looking at the news, and not hitting the snooze button first thing in the morning. She also suggested not having coffee when you first wake up, but having water, preferably lemon water, instead, and having your first cup of coffee with breakfast.

Great video, would like to add a few tips that’s helped me a lot. 1) I place my phone in the bathroom with no snooze - forces me to get up and far enough from the bed that I don’t go back. 2) Organized my apps so that the first page contains apps I want to check in sequence - weather, calendar, reminders, etc. Also, just finished reading Elon’s book, and thought it was incredible. Recommend Linus Torvalds book called Just for Fun: The Story of an Accidental Revolutionary.

99% of the time my excuse for hitting snooze is that I went to bed 8.5 hours ago but it took me over 3 hrs to fall asleep and then I felt deprived of the sleep I should have gotten. I should probably just get up and accept the 5 hours and hope for better tomorrow but I kinda see that as sacrificing 1/3 of my potential for the day (sleep 8 hours, miss 1/3 of it, lose 1/3 of your energy. I know this isn't strictly how it works but arguments with your own brain don't make sense!). This philosophy bites me in the ass when I snooze for 2 hours and don't get any sleep cause I can't fall back asleep so now I've just spent 10.5 hours getting 5 hours of sleep instead of just calling it off when I woke up the first time. AND I feel completely horrible that I just wasted 2 hours instead of just getting going with my day, which kills my motivation.

I haven't moved up to bulk cooking, but I do make zesty omelets every morning! Love it! I dice my veggies the weekend before, so I got my mix ready to go each morning. The only extra thing with cooking is the pan and spatula themselves. You still need plates and silverware. Whole show for me takes 10min+, but if you wake no less than an hour before heading out, that's plenty of time to do the wake up routine activities. But then I don't like "grab" meals, not for breakfast anyway. Old fashioned that way, I guess, but I like cooking breakfast. :)
@Nethanel773
@Nethanel773 6 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, in addition to the sub-nutritional (and anti-nutritional) value of coffee shop breakfast, you end up paying 3-4 times what it would cost to make that zestier home made breakfast. I have my slow mornings, too, but more often than not, I'm going for omelet. Coffee shop is good for coffee, and that's good enough!

Me. An actual living human in 2018 that doesn’t check their phone in the morning. Well I check it for the first time when I’m already in the car on the way to uni, but it’s not involved in my morning routine so I guess that counts?

Pro tip on the snooze button: If you anticipate that you will hit the snooze button, you can begin to kick the habit. Allow yourself a maximum number of times you can do it before you absolutely must get out of bed. You can decrease over time

Add a few drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide to your water to kill the harmful chemicals in your body
@monkiram
@monkiram 4 жыл бұрын
@@RustyX2010 That's not how chemicals work (I am an MD). But I second what eman said, it's only a simple carb on its own, but a waffle with fruit on top has fibre and tastes great :) And then if you add a source of protein as well, then you're golden
