In todays video we go over some things to consider when pre-wiring for a wall mounted TV and in-ceiling speakers.
TV Prewire -
1. Is the source equipment going to be local?
2. Will the equipment fit behind my TV, or should it go in a media cabinet below the TV
3. Is the source equipment remotely located?
4. How will I control the source equipment?
5. Do I need a local input for a DVD Player, Gaming system, Turntable, Etc?
At a MINIMUM...we recommend running at least TWO(2) Cat6 and One(1) RG6 Quad Shield Coax cables!!
Speaker Prewire -
1. If you know which model # you want to use, we recommend installing the pre-construction speaker bracket from the manufacturer.
2. Use a MINIMUM of 16 gauge speaker wire. Always home run the cable back to the amplifier.
3. Lace your wire loosely at the speaker location so you can easily locate it when installing the speaker later.
4. Leave enough slack on the wire so you can place the speaker on the top of your ladder to work on it.
