DDay was 10 days ago 1/29, I won’t forget that day now either cause of the day after, our anniversary. Since then I have been reading a lot of posts on this sub. It has been helpful to know I’m not the only one. Now I thinking posting what happened will help me out. It’s going to be long cause I think details matter and I’ve been playing it over and over in my head everyday.
Our story. Been with my wife 29 years, married 26. I’m 51M, her 49 F. Two grown kids 24S, 22D. Meet in college, dated, feel in love, married, and thought what I believed was a great marriage. Did a lot of things together, talked all the time, communicated about things that were troublesome, both of us had successful careers that we both supported each other in along the way, great love life, maybe not as often as when we were younger, but just as passionate.
Story 1:
Caught wife cheating day before anniversary
Story 2:
Done Deal

I am 63 years old and I don't pretend to have all the answers, but one thing I do know is that; being cheated on is the most painful demoralizing thing any woman has ever done to me. Every exclusive relationship I have ever been in, she ended up cheating and lying to my face, with a smile and an "I love you". I always hear women talking about men, saying they can't keep it in their pants. Quite frankly I have found the exact opposite to be true, they are the ones that can't keep their panties on.

It makes me smirk when people brag about their 5-year, 8 or 10-year relationships. This story right here proves that not even those are safe. Hell, the other day I watched/read a story on similar channels such as these that a 60-year old cheated. Fricking 60. Imagine that. Then you got people cheating on their spouses while husband/wife is out working, on their anniversary, their fricking wedding day or the night after the wedding, with close friends or someone he/she claims they're not attracted to no less. It really solidified my decision not to get married or even enter a relationship.

STORY 1: The whole story gets BRUTAL afterwards. Turns out the boss was blackmailing the wife to cheat...& she is only one of the FEW women he did this with. After finding a "shark lawyer" & hiring a PI, they found out the boss was a abusing nearly half a dozen women the same way, even getting one of them pregnant & ruining a few other marriages. The STBXW, AP's wife & other abused women matched to his business, got in contact w/their HR department & got him fired on the spot. He's dodging court appointments, gone thru two lawyers that quit him as a client & is most likely in prison for everything now.

Stories like these spike my fear of commitment. I'm quite reserved with my emotions and only devout myself when I feel there's something truly special, which has been pretty far and between. I've only been in love three times my 24 years of life, and my current relationship is great. But then again, these kinds of scenarios blind-side you. Just imagining something like this happening to me makes me not want any relationship whatsoever. You never know when someone you consider as the love of your life will betray you in such a vile manner that forever taints your capacity and willingness to love, and all because of an affair.

This is exactly why I have serious trust issues and I make it known I don't trust anyone. If I have the slightest doubt in any girl I have an interest with, no relationship at all. Surprisingly I've been with this amazing lady for 8 years under the condition she never breaks my trust, not even once.

I heard a lot cheater stories here, but the first story is the best, because this one actually has a proper conclusion and justification. Op, you are savage, but in a good way. Good for you for what you did. Take time for it yourself, and get those toxic people out of your life. Don’t ever feel sorry for what you did, they deserve it. If there’s one thing about cheaters it’s the fact that they’re not sorry they cheated they’re sorry they got caught.

The fact she was more worried about the other cheater ,rather than broken hearted husband,is even more powerful answer, than amount of time her affair was going on,when it gets to the stage ,that they're comfortable bringing the guy home, you know it's much more than sex,you don't have to be genius it's over, NEVER give anyone a second chance to apologise,it's AMAZING the things people will do for an orgasm, what they KNOW they will lose & dramatic consequences,& completely change of life, but their selfishness is all that matters

Remember, if you build yourself and open your heart again, don't open it to just anyone. Remember that people exist primarily to satisfy their own urges, and there are more psychopaths and sadists out there than you might think. The better option is to never open up to anyone.

For the second guy, this is the issue with princesses. I was married to one for 15 years. I was just an average Joe and I was a fool to go for a trophy. It cost me 16 years of my life. I should have been realistic and stayed in my league and fell for a great person. My life blossomed with a terrific partner after I moved on. I don’t need a trophy to validate my place as a man, matter of fact, when I see average Joes with trophy’s I just chuckle inside remembering how terrible it was.

1st story: it is just your turn, man, it is just your turn, you had good memories of your loving wife in the past 29 yrs your married to her, now the one in front of you is not the one you married, she is a totally new person inside the shell of you wife, tell your kids of what their mother have done and be done with her, be free, my friend, be free to live a healthy life, take a vacation to a distant place, cool off for a month or so, cheating wife will be a nightmare in the past and will fade in your memory in due time....

2nd story: "I threw myself into that relationship . . . every bit of my heart and soul, I poured into it. I committed to being the best I could for her." Well, there's your problem. What she wanted was a complete ash whole who wouldn't throw water on her if she was on fire.

No, you're wrong. She wants both. She wants the tingles with the ash, but she also wants to be able to come home, barely able to walk after the pounding ash gave her, to have OP hug her, care for her, tell her he loves her, maybe get married and have kids. Provide that lifestyle she thinks she deserves. That's how some women live their best life.

Second story. You don’t love her. You love the idea of who you want her to be. You can’t possibly love a cheater that causes only pain and humiliation in your life. Brother, you deserve to be loved as much as you want to love the right person. Don’t settle for hurt and pain. It can destroy you. You will get through this. One step at a time. You only fail if you quit. It’s ok to be discouraged. It’s ok to feel bad. But keep moving forward. Find friends as loyal to you as you are to them. And we will be here for you.

And for OP to catch them right in the act. that must have been some excruciating pain he is feeling. I feel to everyone out there who got cheated on, i hope healing and to be able to move on from it.
