Like lord krishna said in mahabharata forgiveness is the toughest thing a man can do in the society but forgiving the criminal (cheating wife here) is the only way you can rationalize in punishing the criminal because after you forgive them from your subconscious you achieve two major things- 1.The past beautiful memories dont come to haunt you(in this case) 2. You can easily punish them in a balanced way they deserve without resenting yourself going too far with punishment (forlike in revenge) in future To all people here who get betrayed i say this- First forgive your partner from your heart and then move on the next move of punishing them not thinking of getting revenge in mind. This way you ensure never looking back as in case of revenge its all coming from revenge and momentary unexplained unwanted hate for someone who you thought of being life partner and thinking of getting revenge on them will only hurt you in future. Whereas when you forgive them from your heart then you can in a snap see things rationally and your feelings fade away with everything clear in mind on what next move to make that will not only gaurentee your win but also you'll never think of going too far

How were they just as bad? They weren’t the ones cheating. Of course it’ll hurt him knowing that they knew and didn’t tell him, but it’s ultimately not their thing to tell. And it was probably not the case of “if you don’t tell your father, I’ll buy this car for you”. It was probably more the mother doing that out of her own, after having convinced them that she will end it and tell their father. Bottom line: They are not nearly as bad as the mother. It was the mother that cheated for a long period of time, the mother that had their children stay quiet, the mother that literally made them choose between their parents, which is something awful to do to children.

Looks like the husband really did spoil his daughters too much. Taking bribes to keep quiet as their mother betrayed their father and the family? Wow. I could understand the kids staying quiet because the mother manipulated them to do so, but for the kids to then accept bribes to keep quiet is just inexcusable. None.
@VitorHugoOliveiraSousa
@VitorHugoOliveiraSousa 3 жыл бұрын
The manipulation would be understandable when they first discovered. The feeling of not wanting to break the fairy tale family and concern for the fathers feelings would make them prone to be highly influenced by their mother lies. But after they caunt her the second time she prove to them that she is a piece of garbage serial cheater that don't love and don't care about their father anymore she will make him miserable and cheat on him forever until getting caunt or finding another suitor that she thinks that is someone good enough to jump out of the boat. You don't let one parent condemn the other like that I don't care how much you think you love the shit parent.

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff that makes people end themselves... Regarding the daughters, though? I kinda agree with OP. If they only found out one time and agreed to not tell him, it could be chalked up to conflicting loyalties to your parents (horrible anyway, but much more understandable) and believing their mother had actually ended the affair, so discovering she didn't may cause remorse in them for not telling him, but after the second (and, if I understood correctly, third time?) the only way I'd believe them to actually be remorseful is if they confessed before OP found out about the affair, now it just seems like they are trying to play the "remorseful child" card to get back in good graces with dad.

If your own family doesn't have your back in this situation, how can you expect anyone else to? Here's hoping he turns his life around, whether that be by finding a new social circle or by turning to God.

@@jamegumb7298 Ah, less so in Texas at least. It's a "fault" AND a "no-fault" state. He is well off and can prove her infidelity, more so, that it wasn't a short term or one off but for almost a year. That "oops it was a mistake" isn't going to fly. He might be able to bring in just how cruel she is with the parental alienation by her conspiracy with buying off the kids, even her driving her partner to suicide. He should go "fault" and remove her financial rewards for such shit behavior. "No Fault" in Texas runs under 3 ways to file and it's usually used to get out as quick and uncomplicated as possible. Like if there is little money/property to divide. Or you just are willing to capitulate to be done. He needs a shark that is willing to burn her to the ground if she don't get out without trying to fleece him. He sure needs the counseling and the trying to cope with booze...that there will ruin him, either health wise or make a dumb move that gets her all his money or in jail. Or even fool enough to try and patch it up. He said that Sarah, in her confession told him that between the second and first time wife was caught, she said she "loved your father and just can't afford to lose him." That can be construed as knowledge and conspiracy, she confessed, she knew she was wrong AND she wanted the money. The daughters, as shitty as they did, I imagine he may want to some point be with them again. They are young woman and should not have done him like that, true. But they were raised by that mother and in privileged life. She taught them moral ambiguity for profit. I would consult that attorney about altering that will, with his advice on how to handle them eventually getting back in, provided they come clean to the judge about what the wife did, that too, would go a long way to roast "mom" a little more. Teach his daughters that when you do wrong, you got to acknowledge and then try your best to set it right. Carrot and stick, you want in the will? Do the right thing this time and get rewarded, not the wrong thing.

Ultimate betrayal is that they were willing to be bought to keep their silence. As for the girls hating their mother, they also need to admit that they were also culpable by keeping silent. It's so messed up.... I hope so much that OP turns away from the bottle but most likely won't because it will help dull these ultimate betrayal pain... He might kill himself to join his parents. She wasn't yours, it was only your turn. You got there first, your turn was a long one, savor that for what it was. Hold on to the good parts of it, it'll help you remember how bad she really is that she threw such a perfect thing away. It wasn't a mistake, it was a decision. She wasn't ignorant of what she had, this is in her nature. Just take the red pill be happy you got to live in that illusion for longer than most men can even dream of it. And absolutely cut them all off. The wife is a big no brainer, but your daughters covered for her. Why? For the low low price of money. Loyalty being cheap, tell them you hope they already extracted everything from that penny bank they were ever going to want. Cut the kids off, remove them from the will (find a few charities, put language in the will to make it clear you're not giving them anything on purpose, I suggest the ranch go to a riding therapy group but I'm biased), and spend the rest of your life bettering and entertaining yourself. You've got wealth, work out, find a hobby, bang a model or two. Just keep safe and don't disappear into a bottle. Alcohol isn't making you feel better, it's making you feel worse. If you want to feel better, pick a direction and start walking forward. Stop looking back at all you had, you're not going that direction.

It does not matter how his daughters might have felt about the affair, if they felt angry towards their mother, pity and love towards their father, it doesn't matter that they wanted to tell him but were afraid of breaking up the family. They are as much traitors as the woman he once shared a bed with because they denied him something he needed to know. They are cowards, as all traitors by their very nature, he shouldn't give them another chance, he should do as he wants and rewrite his will, giving his belongings to those who actually deserve it. The hardest part to accept in a betrayal is that whatever that person was to you before, they are no longer. They are not your friend, your boss, your wife, your mother or father, son or daughter, they are an enemy and any action should be prosecuted according to that of the most hated of enemies. Take everything you can away from them, leave them with nothing that's yours, wife and daughters both, maybe even go as far as legally disowning them

Those uncles of mine had my utmost respect since I was little and they were like godfathers to me and a lot (if not all) of my cousins. But after finding out their silence and they wouldn't even outright give me an honest answer when I asked them directly, I cut off all contact with everyone from that side of the family. I will never be able to trust any of them ever again, especially with how most of my uncles had their own history of affair/s.

Ok I may get heat for this but it's chilly here so bring it on: If all of this is true then what that woman did to op is beyond messed up but another small part that's missed is that she messed up her affair partner too. Now he knew he was messing with a married woman, he had no sympathy from me for that. But for months that boy was catching feelings for her and she kept coming back to him, even after getting caught she's still messing with him. Now if these stories have taught me anything it's not simply a call or text of "hey, hubby's gone, come over." No there was emotions and false promises. "I love you." "If only I wasn't married." "If only Blah blah blah." For months that fool buys into the romance of the affair and thinks they can run away together given she's still with him after being caught so she must want to be with him. So when he tells her to divorce and he'll provide for her he sees she ain't giving up her comfortable life to be with him. She don't love him. Divested and being a bit dramatic he tries to kill himself. She ruined 2 people.

I don't think OP is going to make it.😭 These heffers actually took bribes to stay quiet.😠🤦 That is so F'ed up. He really has no one he can trust. I mean his family basically screwed him over except for the dogs and his dead parents.😓

Honestly, when I was like in 5th grade I found a message on my dads phone that was really weird and made me believe he was cheating. I was so scared at what would happen and didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t tell my mom. I felt so guilty and eventually told her like almost a year later. She already knew but I can’t imagine staying quiet about catching your parent in the act twice. Finding a weird message was enough to drive me insane, I can’t imagine how I would’ve felt actually catching him

Personally, I would immediately divorce the POS future ex-wife and frankly I would disown of the daughters I wouldn't even bother having them take DNA. I would have a lawyer draft a will that when I die everything would go to charity. Change my number and after the divorce I would move from that location and good absolutely NC with the wife and daughters.

I cannot believe his children knew and didn't tell him. That has got to hurt really bad. And the daughter even came to him for comfort saying its all my fault. What did she expect him to do when he found out.? I hope they are glad with the parent they chose because that will most likely hang over their heads and hurt their relationship with their dad for life.

I keep coming back to this story every few weeks, wondering about the reason the daughters might have had to betray their fatherlike that. It's as if they'd so anything if somebody would throw a few coins at them... I really hope there's an update soon where OP is stable and happy again!

I'd disown all of them. Daughters even accepted hush gifts. Wife known since birth. This is so heartbreaking.

Unfortunately I couldn't blame this guy if the next thing his daughters hear is the American Consulate in Brazil telling them he has been found dead. Praying that doesn't happen, this is what I suggest he does: 1. Get sober! 2. Go home and consult a lawyer (preferably a scorched earth one) 3.Get some individual therapy quickly to stabilise his emotions! 4. Liquidate all his assets, post quickie divorce. Wife's confessions if out in public will probably tank her business and reputation, if she wants to delay things! 5. Go back to Brazil, as he now has no "family" in the USA. With the money he gets from liquidating his assets, he will be able to live like a Lord down there! 6. The daughters will be fine without him. The STBXW has her own business and money, and the daughters are the kind of treacherous money-grubbers who will quickly fall on their feet by marrying some poor blue pilled S-MP. He should try and forget they ever existed if that is possible! Good luck to him, as he will need every ounce he can get, I figure!

Sheesh, the hits just keep on coming toward OP. I hope he's doing much better now after all this time. To know the daughters found out what was going on and said nothing to their father (and getting bribed for their silence) must stab him in the heart. I don't generally wish ill on people, but I hope he left them with the bare minimum if anything at all, and the nastiest part of me hopes they get cheated on and other family members cover it up so they feel the pain they put their father through. If they want to whine about not having much money, they can sell those bribes and get extra cash. Easy come, easy go. He was betrayed on all sides, and I hope if there's any sense of justice in the universe, he got a big chunk of it in the past year and change.

I can get past them not telling me, with some time but them accepting bribes would push me over the edge. That is ridiculous I would never be able to accept bribes for not telling my dad that my mom was having an affair.

He had a justifiable reaction. Not only did his daughters keep it quiet once, they did it twice. His daughters don't love him, if they did, they would have told him especially the second time it happened. Instead, they were bought by their mother. They protected a cheater and a master manipulator. The husband/father deserves better then these women which is really said especially how he describes the relationship with each of them. The only reasons the girls confessed was because they couldn't handle the guilt. I find it rich how they were all bad mouthing her when they all kept her secret and took gifts to keep quiet.

More than anyone daughter action seem to drive biggest knife in heart. I mean they were closest to family OP had and they treated him like an ATM. They only apologized when they realised they messed up and won't have any say in money if they didn't side in him. They didn't side with OP for love but money. Also anyone saying it was manipulation let's be clear - 1)The moment they accepted the bribe it was never a manipulation but a trade which they accepted. 2) They should have told the first time but even if they don't they should have told when they found out second time. 3) Even if they can't tell OP they could give hind or hints to OP. 4) This could have gone forever if not for the AP who committed suicide otherwise they wouldn't even apologize. Let's be real here they didn't apologize bcoz they were sorry but bcoz they were caught and still wanted financial aide of OP
