My advice to you after 20 years is that a tool or item is only as good as it's warranty, the guy in the video spent 5x as much money as he needed to for re-branded tools(they're all made in China now even Snap-On). I have watched countless newbies go into life-long debt just to have everything name brand, don't make this mistake. The bearded guy in the video will be 50 before he pays all of that off.

Interesting to see use case adjustments to what people use, how they store it and what they prioritize. I have a lot of tools, mostly hyper organized in foam. The funny thing about tools I always tell people when they ask why I have so many is "I'd only buy what I needed if I knew in advance what that was". So in my case, I tend to be value driven with what I buy, I beat my tools hard (everything has 3 uses to me) and expect to break them. Anything I break I buy a much higher quality version. Oddly though, the cheap stuff these days holds up INSANELY well, I rarely break anything so who knows.

Agreed. As someone who owns multiple snap on ratchets, and turns wrenches every day, it's not worth spending that much. I abuse my budget tools and rarely break anything.

There’s so many cool ideas here. I also don’t like blow molded cases and I stack my pliers on each other. I never knew about those Husky dividers at 11;02. That would save a ton of space, stop clutter, and keep stuff separate with complete adjustment.

Few have seen tool organization like the USAF operational maintenance wing flying multiple aircraft including the all titanium SR-71 Blackbird. A locked tool crib will contain all the roll away tool boxes and portable line kit tool boxes as well a lock "chit box". A tool monitor assigned to work in the tool crib signs out tool boxes to workers. Each individual will be assigned ten chits with with a number stamped in them hung on a row of hooks next to their name. Upon every turnover of the custody of each tool box a full inspection will be made with a inventory list. Each and every separate tool and tool bit will be inscribed with the number of the tool kit box. Each and every tool will be set in a cut out of neoprene foam inside the tool box drawers going a quick accurate way to see if a tool is missing. The inventory of each item in the tool kits and tool crib boxes will be inspected at each shift change and signed for if accepted by the incoming tool crib monitor as well as a monthly inventory update at squadron command level. Before a portable tool kit is removed from the shop it will be inspected. Upon completion of a task on the aircraft the tool box will be inventoried again. Upon return to the shop the tool box will be inspected again. If it is found that a tool is missing, maintenance control will be immediately contacted and all flight-line activities will be halted, supervisors notified and personal with supervisors will back track every move conducting a full inspection until the tool is found. Covering up an incident of a lost tool could result in criminal charges. Each time a tool is removed from it box by another worker than who has signed custody of the kit must retrieve a chit from the tool room and place it in the cut out where the tool rest. In the case of the SR-71 titanium aircraft, full duplicate tool kits specific for use on specific aircraft must be used. This is due to cross contamination of corrosive elements used on other aircraft that could contaminate the titanium. For example, an apex screw driver tip used on aircraft with cadmium plated screws and then used on titanium screws will cause the titanium to become "Poisoned" or cracked due use at elevated temperatures at mach 3+ flight. It sounds complicate, it is, but once the system is established it is critical to operations and national security.

Dan, what a comment to leave!! That’s so interesting to hear how incredibly careful they are with tool inventory (which I guess they have to). Another subscriber commented on another video about some of the strict tool inventory policies while working in the military. He mentioned new mechanics would get hazed by hiding a tool from their box so they would have to shut everything down.
