The more I see this episode, the more I believe that Sarah only made out with Topper. Also the writers really wanted us to know that Big John created this divide between the pogues. Only they never show it, I wonder if scenes got cut. They want us to believe that John B had abandoned Sarah which led to her "hooking up".

i think johnb was going through a lot so he didnt really have the time to really think about the fact that sarah literaly cheated on him thats why it looks like he forgave her but am pretty sure he's gonna have a hard time trusting her in the future and even bring the discussion back on the table.

Topper is not so bad. In season 1 He is controlling of Sarah because he has heard from her sister that she is known for cheating and that she is also flirting with John B behind his back. He even asks about it and she doesn’t really deny it, she just says “who told you that” which doesn’t make it better. He snitches on John B because why not, from all he know John B is flirting with his girl when he is at work so if he has a chance to maybe prevent it and get him fired why would he not take it? He pushes him of the tower because he is drunk and have just experienced the worst thing you can do in a relationship, getting cheated on. So if his emotions is a bit unstable and John B is telling him to back off I think it’s understandable that he loses control for a few seconds and pushes him. You can kinda see afterwards in his face expression and in his voice that he realises what he has done and is scared and regrets it. He gets upset at Sarah that she didn’t wanna have s*x because he knew she was potentially flirting with someone else (John B) and when she almost immediately says no after she just said yes. Maybe he thinks she changed her mind because she was fancying someone else. Would also explain why he wanted to know from John B if he and Sarah have had s*x later in the laundry room . He still got a bit too upset I agree. He also didn’t want to hurt Pope when they saw him at the golf court but Rafe didn’t listen. He also started pushing Rafe away when he started hitting pope with the golf club. Could also see in toppers expressions after that he felt bad for Pope. And after Pope sank his boat he is initially not even mad at Pope, he instead blames Rafe but Rafe and Kelce start manipulating him to think it’s indeed Popes fault. His parent situation is not helping him either. And the burning down the house is ofc never understandable but it’s probably similar too the tower thing were he feels heartbroken and betrayed. And all those feelings + everything that Rafe said about how she has played him and will keep doing it again, again and again makes him feel dumb and worse. So I think he burns down the house because he doesn’t wanna feel this again, he is done with all this and just wants to move on but can’t if Sarah and them are still here. Then again I don’t think he is really that crazy it’s just a lot of emotions which he can’t handle and than it just happened to be gasoline there when he is at his weak stage and it gives him this crazy idea. But yes sometimes he takes things too far but I think if he got treated a bit better and had better friends, he wouldn’t be such a horrible person.

Ok so how each character wasn’t really acting like their usual self Pope almost shooting rafe when pope would never really go that far, Sarah kissing topper when she’s clearly in love with john b( and remember she could’ve cheated on john b in the second season during the bon fire with topper but she didn’t), and john be punching topper into the ground without topper fighting back and didn’t even stop after topper was unconscious. That’s literally almost killing him. So I did the math, season 1 to season 3 the timeline of the show doesn’t even add up to one year, season 1 is like a few weeks, same with season2, and then there’s the one month of them being on the island and its been a week or two for the rest a season 3. The writers have been building up the tension in the show, like it’s literally has been one thing after another and no breaks in between. Pope has been beaten up kidnap and has been repeated wrong of his family treasure. JJ has gone through major shit with his dad, almost went to jail, kicked out of his house, and nearly died on the boat. Sarah was shot, saw her dad die, her brother tried to drown her, was on the run, kid nap by her toxic family, her dad tried to kill her, and then officially became homeless. John b got bit by a aligator, frame for murder, nearly killed multiple times, found his dad, watched his dad kill someone, and then his dad was kidnapped . The tension has been non stopped it’s been building up to the point of them finally slipping. It doesn’t excuse Sarah kissing topper no more than john b beating topper even after he was out cold. But it does explain how this all happened. They all haven’t really been in their right heads. That’s why we had the moment with everyone at the end in front of john Bs house. That moment showed everyone admitted had made mistakes. But they were all done with outer banks and just focus on the family they had in the group

We can’t act like Sarah ain’t a high school girl that’s “married” that’s just crazy itself. she mad a mistake she young like all of the rest of them. Feel like this season really showed that family parent vibe with all them. with Kiara & her parents tripping about there 17-18 year old daughter missing for 3 months & always leaving doing dangerous things with her friends after her dad worked hard to get out of that family generational curse stuff cause he was a one of them. A parent that cares would do that if they kid ain’t talking about it n disregarding there parents stressing.
