Blue stripes on deflector are a part of the Slipstream drives emitter arrays. It's a feature on many STO ships like the Pathfinder.

It is in the same class as the Sovereign. Also, everyone hates the nacelle design because they're bulky. I suggest checking out the Regent class. Another Sovereign variant that's my favorite.

I fly it as a heavy torpedo artillery cruiser. I felt like that is a good role for it, with that insanely big torpedo launcher. :D

I have this ship with my starfleet Klingon character but I hate the nacelle design so I put sovereign class pylons and nacelles on it

This ship set uses the metrion set. But one of the three ships is a special variant not easy to find. Two of them are easy to get. But the final piece is a special requisition.

Rotate the secondary hull 180 degrees and closely resembles the 2ndry hull on the Sovereign. In STO, the ship and it's console are part of a 3 piece set which, for the longest time, you couldn't complete, as the T6 Sovereign was only available via a redeem. About a year ago, they brought the T6 Sovereign back in Mudd's Market, and then it's one of the 2020 legendary bundle ships.

I like it. It's like the JJ version of the E but sort of better-proportioned than how they did the Connie. That rear beauty shot looked like the ship had power to spare. I also like the slim yet bulkiness of the nacelles; they sort of resemble a Galaxy class nacelle sitting at an angle. Speaking of which, look at how the struts are segmented. Do they realign somehow? They almost have a Voyager-like quality. Do the nacelles pivot in STO?

I often change the engines out if I go with this variant. These nacelles look so "big" it feels like it's upscaled from a smaller ship design. The blue strands in them are quite large. I do like the secondary hull a lot and the saucer is fine if you assume it's far less space than a Sovereign, like the heavy cruiser to the Soveriegn's battleship.

note on starship design: never, _ever,_ place a shuttlebay entry *between* the engines/propulsion system as they have done here. there are numerous reasons why this poses a danger to the safe operation of the the engines, the shuttlecraft, and those aboard such craft. ...although those impulse engines do resemble something closer to automotive brakelights.

The bulky nacelles especially from the rear view make the ship look cartoony, swap those out with another set at that would improve the look a million fold.

The side veiw of the secondary hull and that lite up blue strip looks very Dauntless. The colored plates on the the top of the saucer look like a defiant. It’s like an amalgamation of dauntless, excelsior, sovereign.

Great video! I love the ship; but in my humble opinion I feel the saucer resembles the Vesta-class starship. While the secondary hull does look like the Sovereign class starship.

It puts me in mind of what a Voyager NCC-74656 - A would look like. You know after returning to Alpha quadrant they would not put Voyager back into service. They would first take years to unload all the sensor data recorded, then let Admiral Janeway claim her as personal ship, then put her into mothballs/museum role. So Starfleet would likely make a new Voyager shortly after returning home successfully. Yes it has much of the sovereign in its blood. That is reflective of current ship building philosophy of the post VOY era. You can see some lines between Voyager and Voyager J as well. For voyager the overall boxy shape of the nacelle, for the J the front nose shape and bridge modual lines look similar. So while this obviously is not any line of Voyager it feels like this ship is of the class that a new voyager would be a part of. Another thought is that this looks like more detailed version or a step in between NEM & Rikers copypasta fleet ship

For me, it looks like a brother to the Yorktown ship. any put a defiant ship on to a constitution body yet as I would like to see a mix of those 2 ships together?

I've only used the nacelles on my Sov variants. Not a fan of the thin primary hull, the perma-yellow glow from the dish, or the pylons...which perma-orients all mounted nacelles at that weird angle.

The windows underneath aren't flat looking down. Look at the last image.

The blue glow strips come back from the deflector array bring to mind the nacelles and deflector of the (not-technically-Starfleet) design of the "Dauntless" from Voyager, and in my mind could imply some quantum slipstream capability. This also jibes with the very Excelsior-class (e.g. transwarp testbed) vibe of the design overall.

I use a fleet T6 command Sovereign but I stick with the sovereign skin and stay way from this skin it it looks too off to me

I'd love to see a version of this rendered in the 'realistic' visual design language of the TOS-TNG-VOY-DS9-ENT shows. This design could look really good, but it is way overstylised for my taste, with the nacelles in particular looking as though they've been drawn in with broad sweeping strokes of a thick marker pen.

Also...I think the nacelles have potential...but as-is, they're a bit too cartoony. The ship itself is quite striking, but the nacelles look like something out of the Loony Toons version of Star Trek. Their base design is interesting and I kinda like it...but it's too...caricature-style.

That rear-view would look cool if the nacelles weren't so stupidly tall. Nacelles need to be mounted more forward on the pylons as well.

Nacelles are out of proportion to the rest of the ship.

The engines break the look of this ship for me. The secondary hull and the larger deflector look like they'd go really well with regular Sovereign parts. I was torn between getting this or getting the Vizier on a Mudd's Market sale and eventually went with the Vizier. Kind of wish I'd gotten the Archon, but the Vizier's trait and console are just so fucking good. Might eventually get the Archon and have a good old fashioned Starfleet kitbash.

Nice. You huys think you might do other SYO ships like the Buran? Just got my model from Eaglemoss the other day and the Discovery ship is warm milk compated to the STO version. Its right up there with the Probert Enterprise C prototype for me. I like this ship too except I think the nacels feel out of proportion to the hull. I'd rather have slim and long over fat and chunky.....oh no. 😅😅😅😅

Pylons so flimsy...why...WHY? . No matter WHAT stupidly impossible sci-fi material you make them out of, pylons that flimsy would just buckle under the strain of even a minimal warp field. . It's like when you put two powerful magnets together at "like" poles and one of them is bolted down. The other will always fly off out of your hand. A field interacting with another field transfers the force of that interaction into the object-device generating that field...it's the entire reason why maglev works AT ALL. When a warp field interacts with space, space "pushes back", always wanting to return to a resting, undistorted state (if it didn't, then warp fields and the gravity wells of moving bodies would permanently deform space even after being turned off or moving on). Considering the sheer power required to force space into a configuration needed for a viable warp field (or to punch a hole to subspace...whichever), the amount of force then exerted against the warp coils would also be astronomical, and that force would transfer through the coils into their mountings, through those into the superstructure of the ship, and down the pylons into the main body, until it finds a failure point (or the ship successfully withstands it). . But pylons like that? They'd fail at Warp 1, probably at the point where the pylons meet the main body, as that would be the point at which the leverage against the ship is the greatest. Which is still an improvement over the Connie, which wouldn't even make it to .1c with those straight sticks for pylons.
