There are few things in swimming that cross the lines of all strokes, but learning a great underwater dolphin is certainly the most important.

Yeah, I tried this today. The lifeguard said I look like a dolphin having a seizure.

Great video. As shown it can be helpful to try with short swimming fins first...less frustrating ;-)

I know how to swim but mastering that dolphin kick and breathing free style is my only barricade to glory. Ps. No matter what o can never do the dolphin kick i made my friend video tape me and when i saw it i looked like a fish outta water

why is the dolphin kick on the back so much easier?
@Soldier95710 жыл бұрын
This is actually much easier than it looks. Just do the hip thrust and let the rest follow naturally.
@TheGuruNetOn9 жыл бұрын
Soldier957 Actually the thrust starts from the chest imperceptibly and becomes more noticeable as it travels further through hips and right out to the flick of the feet.

is it true that u swim faster in sea then in pool?
@devil25787 жыл бұрын
Ibex no because in the sea u ha e things working against u like currents and wind in the pool u have no currents same with lakes but not rivers.
@lunarx18383 жыл бұрын
I mean the salt is more buoyant so you would theoretically float and swim a tiny bit faster

ok but how to breathe while doing this?
@goswim8 жыл бұрын
+Stefan Savic When you need air... stop and breathe.
@StefanS19978 жыл бұрын
Out coach told us to lift our head for breath but when i do it my hips fall down,lose speed etc...
@goswim8 жыл бұрын
+Stefan Savic You need to understand the rhythm of WHEN to put the breath in. Look for Step 2... this is Step 1.
@romerun8 жыл бұрын
+Stefan Savic with the skin I supposed. Once doing it a lot, human skin can mutate to able to breath slightly, just like frog.
