Because Vin Diesel would have changed the script to have him give the badass walk in the middle of the tornados and then defeat them with a single air blow from his mouth, as if he was blowing candles from a birthday cake, followed by the classic wish ask. And imagine what he asks as a wish? More screen time for himself in the sequel; so much screen time that there are none left for the tornados, effectively leaving him, as the only character in the movie; as THE TWISTER! He then goes on destroying the world and earth itself as a tornado, because there is no bigger force in this world than Vin Diesel. The third movie of the trilogy would have Vin Diesel aka The Twister, go on a rampage, shredding sattelites, planets, whole galaxies, and in the end he would meet his match in the form of a blackhole, a force so big that even gravity cannot escape it,but oh boy, that blackhole does not swallow Vin Diesel,Vin Diesel swallows the blackhole,and eventually the rest of the universe.

The original "Twister" resonated with me because every member of the cast seemed to fit naturally into the world of storm chasing, a group of passionate geeks fascinated by the science of tornadoes. Their shared enthusiasm felt authentic, and their motivations were clear. Jo's relentless pursuit of tornado research, driven by a desire to develop a detection system that could save lives, was deeply rooted in her personal history, having lost her father due to a lack of early warning systems. I'm skeptical that a modern remake could capture the same genuine spirit; it might struggle to recreate the organic chemistry of the original cast and could risk feeling contrived.

This movie is going to deal with the modernized storm chasing culture that the first film helped popularize. It’s going to deal with the science, impact of the research, and the consequences of chasing recklessly. Given that the sequel had a lot of real life insight from storm chasers and even footage being used to help create the tornado sequences in the film, I’m really excited for this one.

I’m graduating with a meteorology degree this year and love to storm chase. Seen about 12 tornadoes so far with the highest being an EF4. I’m excited but skeptical. They did have some cool Easter eggs in the trailer. One detail was the radar software they used. It was GR2 Analyst, which is what most of us use. The tornadoes (as of now) at least look pretty accurate (also: do not go under overpasses when trying to avoid a tornado).

@@unknownps Overpasses are actually rather dangerous, as they generate a sort of wind tunnel effect. The reason hiding under overpasses became a common myth for taking cover is a TV film crew had to take shelter under one many years ago. The overpass they hid under was rather unique in construction compared to the common ones you drive under.

@@Collect2Disconnect If you're in the middle of nowhere and can't get to shelter you're supposed to drive 90° relative to the storm's path in order to avoid it, but actually judging the storm's path without any equipment is pretty much impossible unless you're an experienced storm chaser. Best advice I can give is that if you have eyes on the funnel and it's not moving sideways, it's coming straight towards you.

This movie is getting an imax release for a reason. I’m interested in seeing how the visuals have progressed. 28 years removed from the original, 10 years removed from into the storm (blah). This film I’m predicting is gonna be a lot of old mixed with some newer elements (story, characters, storm chasing techniques ect.) Plus the director of this film seems to be quite the workhorse in his productions, quite akin to how Jan Debont is with his films. I’m pretty excited overall.

Twister traumatised me as a kid. Ever since watching it I’ve always had nightmares about tornados, even to this day. Also even tho I live in the uk I get a nervous pit in my stomach when I see suspicious looking cloud 🤣 I’m absolutely terrified of them but they’re also so fascinating and beautiful to watch from the safety of my iPad lol

Honestly, the movie excites me. I regarded Twister to have the best CGI tornadoes in all of cinema, and the sequel appears to be topping the original in this aspect. It also doesn't give the impression that it disregards the original movie, considering they retained the Ram truck inclusion. Dorothy V is a bit of an odd inclusion, considering how far tornado probes have come since the film. The drill anchors on the red Ram are not too far-fetched, as similar mechanisms are employed on IRL tornado intercept vehicles, but won't likely do much if the truck doesn't also completely reduce possible lift. I'm still gonna go see this movie in IMAX when it comes out. It's not gonna be the best movie of the year, but the experience of a modern disaster movie (with true man against natural nature, as opposed to freak weather).

with your statement saying that we already have the technology so we don't need to put anything in the path of a tornado. I, who once went on a tornado chasing tour around South Dakota, felt a bit strange about your statement. Fun fact, we storm chasers still put probes in Tornado path. Even tornado chaser Reed Timmer, who happened to help work on this film, also often placed probes in the tornado path, once he fired a small rocket at the tornado.

When they have no original ideas for a sequel, they normally go for "more". Twisters: "We got twins!" Twister: "We got sisters." Plus there are actually 3 storms in that (cow) scene. I'm confused.

Bill Paxton and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are both dead. Phillip was the best character from the original. I wonder if they'll have at least helen hunt in the movie. She'll probably be the mom of one of the storm chasers

They we’re going to make a part 2 but the main guy passed away in 2017 that’s y this one doesn’t have the original cast n focus’s on different people but they should’ve made this year’s ago before he died

How do we not need another one? Lol. We have soooo many of just about every other thing in movies and tv. Tornadoes are something that has not been used enough.
